Recently I was scammed out of $200 by a member (Jwvr) and notifies everyone on here. Well it looks like he is at it again but this time he is Frnkb. His e-mail address is frnkb574 @ gmail.com this time and his profile says he is in Indiana. Last time his e-mail was [email protected] and he was in California. His MO is the same as last time and he even uses the same words in his e-mails.

what other specifics can you share with all of us "honest members" ??, any details ?? Thanks for the heads up, there's almost nothen' worse, than a low life "parts scammer"...

No doubt......Any more info would be great. Like would he rather be kicked in the ear or socked in the mouth?

Thanks for the warning. Keep us posted.

well thanks cuz this *** has been e mailing me last few days and today the whistle went off. said he had all my parts I have bean lookin for for $400 and would take moneygram or western union, told him I wanted pics and have gotten no reply back.

don't ever send $$$ western union to someone you don't know personally. Even WU advises againts it.

Is he contacting you all by PM or posting on the boards?

Be more specific. Not a perfect world. Caveat Emptor.

I have a wanted ad posted here and received a PM asking if I was still looking for the part. If so, I was asked to contact him (Frank Bishop) directly through email. I emailed that yes, I was still looking for the part. He replied via email saying:

I still have the 67 Satellite Fender for sale in excellent shape and
condition. Asking $240 shipped for it. I will be shipping via UPS or
FedEx whichever you prefer and shall accept payment via Western union
or Money gram. What's your shipping address?
thanks
Frank.
Frank Bishop <frnkb574@ gmail.com>

I followed up asking for a refresher as I don't have any recollection of a conversation. I asked for photos as well and that was it - he was gone. No response. FWIW, he had zero posts so I couldn't even go find an ad he had placed or any history on him. Seemed suspicious from the start not to mention UPS or FedEx won't ship a fender, especially at that price. I went back in to my PM's and his original message is gone.

Both times he contacted me by PM after I had posted that I was looking for a rear bumper for a 66 satellite. Each time he said he had a bumper and gave me his e-mail address. He wanted to be paid thru Western Union or MoneyGram. When I asked him for pictures he said he was having problems uploading pictures but the bumper condition was "good and perfect". When I asked for a phone number he quit responding.
