I just got my radiator back from recoring and found that one of New Jerseys better known radiator shops returned it with the top tank crushed in in two places from them clamping it improperly and the side brackets soldered on improperly and crooked as well as one of tubes under radiator cap clogged with solder (all this for 475 dollars)...

Can anyone tell me correct measurements from front of top tank to side bracket top flanges or any measurements and methods to get side brackets in the right spot? Are side bracket forward edge and top tank forward rim suppose to line up evenly or side brackets extend more to front? Radiator is 26" 2898047 going in a 67 Gtx. Thanks for any and all help..

Don't waste your time and money. Just send it to Bob at Glen Ray Radiators. He is THE BEST!

Bob is a good guy no doubt. Give him a call and he'll steer you in the right direction whether you give him business or not.

Thanks for advice... Called Glen-Ray and spoke to Bob, seemed like a great guy who cares about his work and reputation..and his quote to fix radiator far cheaper than I thought it would be....his repo radiators might seem expensive but the cost of dies to form radiator reservoirs are astronomical and I'm sure the licensing fees from Chrysler wasn't free. Cost of used radiator plus recoring plus shipping plus sloppy repairs and I wish I bought the repo.. Thanks again for pointing me to Glen-Ray..

Glad he took care of you. Bob is nothing if not passionate about his work. :eek:hyes:

Just got radiator back from Glen-Ray, all i can say is "WOW!!!". The workmanship and finish is perfect. Bob is a pleasure to deal with and didn't want to accept any payment until I received the radiator and was satisfied with it, even when i said i wanted to pay him up front. Also,in this day and age of high prices, his charge seemed almost too low. I cannot emphasize it enough, if you need your radiator rebuilt, don't waste the time and money like i did, send it only to Glen-Ray, its cheaper in the long run and you will be totally satisfied by the quality of work...When Bob said Mopar radiators were his specialty he wasn't kidding...his work shows it. I will never trust any radiator work to anyone else, his work is superb. Thanks again guys for steering me to Glen-Ray...

I'm going to post Glen-Rays website link here in case others might find it useful....

Cool, might have to try him next time as he is only 50 miles from me.

Had a local shop do a 4 core recore on the 26 inch. It leaked. **** job. Discovered after install of course. He made good. No offer of a break though. Moral: DOn't do smky burnouts in reverse. Fan MAY go through radiator. Works good now, nice and cool.
