looking very good ,thanks for sharing:headbang:

Very nice!

Man, hemi 4speed, Dana, and power windows too!! Great car.

My engine is the one that's partially assembled. The rest of it is on the stainless steel carts. My friend's engine (the complete one) runs very well, but it has an oil consumption problem.

Your car is looking fantastic. it has been my findings with all the 426's I have dealt with that if you try to drive them like a normal engine they use a bunch of oil. However if you keep the gas pedal mashed to the floor they don't use any oil at all. I've always heard they were designed to operate at high speeds and really aren't worth a crap for normal use. That's why I would rather have a 440. Of course the hemi does have a grater value to some people but they cost a lot more to keep them running properly. I have also found it to be true that a stock 440 and a stock 426 hemi are really a pretty even match on any given race day at the drag strip. Are you really going to drive that car after you've completed all that hard work or will she become another beautiful trailer queen ? Either way you should be very proud of all your great work.

The battery in the passenger compartment reminds me of a car owned by tweakers. Reminds me of the olden days in city where I grew up.

When she helps out like that does it ever make you sorry you tried to run her through that wood chipper?

HAH!!!!

A properly built street Hemi Hemi is very driveable and will not use any more oil than any other stock big or small block. As with any engine, the key words are "properly built" and there are an awful lot of 16 second hemi cars around built and driven by people who don't know the Hemi's idiosyncracies, nor how to properly tune them. The only thing that is noticeably different on a Hemi is the lopey idle, which makes the whole car shake, especially if it's an automatic.

Done yet? Sure is taking you a long time to put that thing together. Damit man hurry up! Just kidding, looks good from here.

Not much to report latel. I'm waiting for the chrome, dash faceplates, grill & trim to come back.

Looking good Richard! slow but sure, Do keep us updated when you can..

Its still raining out here, I'll have to wait to take delivery :)

The engine just got dyno'd today: 467.7hp and 472.7 torque. All stock except for .030 overbore & 9.6 compression (versus 10.25). Not bad. :pink banana:

That horse power and torque is very good. i fyou switch to a single 4 with a Holley 950 only you will get another 35 hp.

Richard these motors are very fine street drivers. I personally gaave up trying to explain this to others. But if you are looking at any improvements oil thru push rods is nice.

I've had a couple street hemis in years past & yes, they run fine & are not finicky at all, provided you know what you're doing & understand them.

If it wasn't an "all stock" car, I probably would go with a single carb.

That right there is my dream car. Hemi Charger 4 speed in a sweet colour. Congratulations on the great job. Enjoy the rides!!
