Blinkers and parking lights 68 coronet

Ok heres the dumb question. When the parking lights are on what lights are supposed to be on. Mainly i am talking about the blinkers and front side marker lights. When the headlights are on what lights remain on with them. I am trying to rewire my car and just get it right.

Any advice would be great.

When the parking lights are on, it should be the lights in the front bumper, side markers ,tailights and tag light. They should all stay on when the headlights come on.

That seams pretty simple to follow. Just rewiring my car i nothing to go by. Just figured i would ask sometimes mopar did different things than other manufactures. Like left handed lug nuts.

On my '68 Dart, the side markers stay on and the front grill lights go out when the headlights are on.

On my 68 Coronet R/t when the headlights go on the lights in the front bumper go out, side marker, tail lights stay on, I had a 68 charger also that did the same thing. Hope this helps

Man, don't remember what year it was when the parking lights stayed on with the headlights but remember redoing my 66 to make the parking lights come on in 68 because I remember going to the dealer to get some 68 side marker lights when I saw them. I had the idea that cars should have something like that after almost broad siding someone on a dark cross road in 67 and then a year later, they showed up and I just had to have em....and thought that the 68's had the full time parking lights whenever the headlights were on.

I just rewired my 68 Coronet and it's just like Hemi Rebel said, they all stay on when the headlights are on and just the headlights go off in the parking position.

Kinda what I was thinking too....and when the side markers came out in 68, they were on all the time whenever the lights were on and was thinking that the front parking lights were tied in with them.

My 68 charger bought in 69 with 28,000 miles and my 68 coronet bought in 70 did the same thing, when the headlight's come on the side marker stay on, but the front turnsignal light go off.........infact I recently put an NOS headlight switch in the Coronet and the outcome is the same.....
