Can I use a non A/C box in my air car? I am not planning on putting air back on and the heater core I bought is a non air core. Thanks!

The firewalls are completely different from AC to non AC cars, therefore your non AC heater box will not just bolt in. I'm going through the same process and am planning on putting a piece of non AC firewall in my car to fill all the unneeded holes.

So maybe I'm better off to find a air heater core and put my box back in.

That would be the easiest, and just don't hookup the ac portion.

Check your local auto parts store.....I was able to get a brand new heater core for a reasonable price through autozone. I believe they carried the ac heater core also.

Great. Thanks for the tip!
Does anyone know if the ac cars have the same core but just have extensions to get them through the firewall? I seen a resto thread that shows the extension that fits on the heater core with O-rings.

The A/C core is totally different. If you want I can snap a picture of an A/C and non-A/C core for comparison in the next day or two.

Na, that's ok but thanks. I need to either find an AC core or take mine to get checked out before I put it back together. thanks!
