Now I live in Victoria, TX and the car is here as well!
1970 Dodge Charger RT, This is not a clone, this is a Numbers Matching car. Description: Year: 1970 Make: Dodge Model: Charger Trim: RT (the real deal), Exterior Color: Black, Interior Color: Black, Transmission: Automatic, Engine: 440. History: 2006- my cousin, Martin Brown, the second owner, bought it and from someone in New Jersey and registered the car in Pennsylvania. The car had 32000 original miles and was all original.
2008- following work was done: car was repainted. The numbers matching 440 Magnum engine was rebuilt, the factory 727 TorqueFlite transmission was rebuilt, Factory Air Conditioning* - upgraded to Classic Auto Air kit which included Sanden compressor, condenser, evaporator etc, original glass except windshield have been replaced, Power steering and power brakes were serviced, Suspension: replaced front suspension bushings and ball joints along with Edelbrock IAS Shocks on all four corners. Wheels & Tires: Front – Coys (C-57)* 17x8 polished wheels 255-45-17 Nitto NT555 tires, Rear –* Coys* (C-57) 18x9.5 polished wheels 295-45-18 NT555 tires. I do have original rally wheels/tires if you want them.
2010- I purchased the car for my husband as a gift for his 65th Birthday, car had 53400 original miles when I bought it. I'm only asking $8,500 because that's what I payed when I bought it from my cousin, it will not be fair to sell it for more! Besides, I decided to make someone happy as we were when we bought it! Don't worry, I know what this car is worth
2013- car is in excellent working order, it has a clear and free Texas title and the numbers match, no rust, no accidents, no problems at all. The car was garage kept, it now has 72,875 original miles. Let me know if this is the car you are looking for and send me your zip code for shipping fees and details, I offer free shipping for the first 500 miles. See pictures below.

This is what I received from her and can't access photobucket because I am on a school district computer. I assume that you can't get the photobucket pics to show either? This is the information that she sent me. How much money should a low milage 70 charger R/T go for in the shape she describes? Steve

I'm going with the old saying that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

The way this ad is worded it is most likely a scam. In some ways it's similar to the hundreds of scam ads posted every day on craigslist.

Sometimes what I do when the location is given is to email and tell the person that you live within an hour of where the car is located and you want to come see it in person.
They will email back with some excuse of why you can't come and look at it.

I got the 'I am on a ship in the ocean and will not be back on land for a few months and I want to buy your car, give me your Paypal account and I will have a driver pick the car up.' Atleast a dozen times when I tried to sell my 1971 Demon 340 on craplist.

you in same city go look your i tx. bring your firearm better safe than sorry or bring your buddies more the merrier.

Rowdy hit the nail on the head there. Ask for specific pictures of the car.. i.e. fender tag, driver's side door jam. 9 times out of ten they will come up with an excuse as to why they can't. SCAM!! Like he said, ask to go see the car in person and see what happens. Another good question is ask for their phone number and address. Tell them you want to talk in person and see what they say.

If it's not a scam it's gone by now.

Why wouldn't it be "right" to sell it for more?

I was given a "second chance" on an ebay listing for a really nice 64 Polara with a 440, about 2.5 hours from my house.

It got bid up to 22K, after I placed a bid of 7K, but all the higher bids got cancelled and it was offered to me?!?

I told the seller I could be there in less than 3 hours, and would bring cash.

They came up with about 6 different excuses, each more creative than the last, every time I offered a work around.

It started with- I offer free shipping, no need to come.

Then- my house is really hard to find.

Then- I can't load it on your trailer.

Then- I am sick.

Then- I am in a wheel chair.

...and finally- this is so easy, just send a check and I'll ship it to you, what don't you understand?

It was actually kind of funny.

Yup when I was looking for a car I had to deal with them a million times. The best part was when they changed information, emailed from two different emails got two different answers.

In Jersey, if a stranger says good morning a little too nicely, we think they want to scam us out of some money. This woman is saying good morning WAY too nicely.

HEY!!! I resemble that remark !!! LMAO

More info and pics.

Hello, I do not have time to delve into finding out about this 70 Charger R/T. When I got home, I was able to put the pics from photobucket in my iphoto(not connected to the school district server which did not allow me to do this earlier). I found the listing in my local newspaper(Casper Star Tribune) with a number 1-307-363-2918. I called and left a message, but have not received a call back. If someone is from that neck of the woods, please call and see if it's real. Looks to be way to nice to be real. Thanks, Steve 1_zpsafda021b.jpg2_zps1e3683b6.jpg7_zpsfd09c06a.jpg8_zps0df23091.jpg91_zps5388545b.jpg10_zps7c852d18.jpg101_zps43a8f361.jpg11_zps1d4b31fa.jpg12_zps9664932f.jpg121_zpsacf8181c.jpg13_zps24ad9739.jpg131_zpsf898c84a.jpg132_zpsf176d6c8.jpg14_zps3a401207.jpg15_zps9c2bb9d4.jpg16_zps26f11fc0.jpg20_zps9b4fbfd1.jpg9_zpsade54c93.jpg

This looks like a classic phishing scam. There is a rash of scams going around on CL where people are copying other people's legitimate ads, and posting a bogus price with the sole purpose of misleading you into providing either a deposit or your personal information.
