Has anybody use a 26" Core 4 Row Champion Monster Radiator MC375 is this a good radiator? or junk I know it made in china my 69 GTX run hot in summer I think of buying it about 275.00 with shipping

theyre NOT junk. i have a 3 row 26 incher cooling my stock 383 ...and a 3 row 22 incher cooling my hypo 440...both run at 185....personally i would go with a 3 row and not a 4 row. cooling occurs from the front back and is mainly done in the first 3 rows...and the 4th row really isnt doing anything but taking up space. this would be a case of " less is more"

If you have the room, go 4 row. More surface area is always better. That said I have a 26" Victory 3 row, (which is almost the same as a Champion), cooling my 500" engine in my 67 and it does fine. (a good shroud, clutch fan, water pump, and fan helps as well.)

I have the american eagle 22" (champion) 2 row 1" tubes in my 66 coronet with a 318 poly with mech 7 blade fan no shroud and milodon high flow water pump. Have had it about a year with no problems. 95 deg day sitting in heavy traffic does not go over 195. Did have to modify the mounting areas slightly.

3 row 26" in my 69 RR 493ci works great even use the the trans lines at the bottom tank stays at 180 all day long

I just installed a Champion 3 row 26" in my '69 RR yesterday. I thought it would just drop in but it didn't I had to drill the holes for it on the radiator support but then again I don't know if my RR came with a 26 or 22 from the factory. Nice piece though.

Bigmanjbmopar, where did you get that shroud? Did you make it? I need one.

Since we're on the subject.....Did you you guys widen up the opening to match the 26" rad or just leave the opening the way it was originally for the 22"? Just wondering, pretty much going with the same set up as you guys here shortly.

I just installed a Champion 3 row 22-inch radiator about a month ago. Works fantastic! Seven-blade fan and no shroud, it hasn't been over 180 degrees yet. We'll see how it works when summer temps hits Arizona.

I had to modify the two lower attachment holes on the rad, which was not big deal.

I opened my support to the 26" size. Very easy, didn't even hurt the paint. And needed no mods to mount it in the car. Some said they has issues with warped rads from both Champion and victory. Mine was fine.

Hey jeff, how did ya do it without damaging paint?

Prop, I just left mine the way it was and just drilled four holes and put the bolts and nuts on it. I didn't want to alter the support that much plus the little bit of the radiator that doesn't show I don't think will make a difference on the cooling.

X2,i did the same except the aluminum just didnt look right with the stock engine look so i painted the top tank black.

As far as the opening I did not cut anything it was a direct bolt in.

Hard to see in this pic

I've read a lot about this on this site as it's been covered before. Seems the majority consensus is not necessarily 3 row vs 4 row or even 2, as much as make sure the tubes in the rows are 1" if possible. All the 1" tube rows I've seen have given the users zero problems.

Maybe not enough space for a 4 row with 1" tubes. Anyone with a 3 row that works well know what their tube diameter is?

Maybe they are better now. Maybe my 500 inch beast breathes fire. I dont know but I have a barely used c375 in a box in the garage because it wouldnt cool my car. Buy a Griffin.More expensive but its 3 times the quality.

I've heard nothing but good things about Griffin. I've talked to several guys who have swapped out a B-Cool Rad for a Griffin. Champions are sometimes dependent on the rows..

Bigman, I checked that shoud out on Summit. How does it install?

I've got a Engineered Cooling Product 26" 2 row 1 inch rad in my Charger, no problem. I think they go for $189 on Ebay. Even took a 1970 fan shroud bolted right up. I left the opening the same as the 22", just drilled new holes further out. I also have a Champion 26" 3 row in my Challenger and also have no problems. They both seem to hold their own. Can't go wrong for the money.
