What system would be good for hi po 383 eng, 4speed runner and dependable system. I want to add a factory dash tac also,i do not know how those electronic system will effect that. Thanks

pertronix conversion is the best i have seen. i have it and it works great. easy conversion.

X2 on the Pertronix. They run it in both rear engine slingshot dragsters we have at the shop. One runs 8s and the other 7s. Those are 1/4 mile times.

I run Pertronix in both of my Mopars and it does the job. My dart (slant 6) has one and The GTX has the built in Rev limiter model.
Stock appearing and works well.

I had my dash redone, and had the electronic voltage limiter installed. My factory indash
tach works. I was told to be sure to have that done as i also did the Pertronix coil that really puts out.

I run a Pertronix also with and MSD 6A box. This setup has worked great for years. I bought a factory looking tach from Charger Specialties that has all modern electronics and works fine with the MSD box.

I put a Pertronix on my Imperial and it works great. I even took the resistor out of my ballast resistor and hard wired it to keep it stock appearing.

I did the same thing. Just make sure you use a 12volt coil if you remove or bypass the ballast resistor. The factory coil is a 6 volt unit.

My pertronix works great.

Pertronix here too! Just pay attention to what kind of coil you need. Points type or electronic. There is good info on their site as to coil recommendations. Also don't mount an oil filled coil horizontally because the oil is used to cool it. Use a epoxy filled coil also known as a high vibration coil if you are mounting it this way. Good luck.
