I'm missing the center emblem in my grille and I'm not sure what the correct one is.
I've got a 65 Belvedere I. It came with a 225 /6.
I've seen two different emblems on 65's- a silver/black and a red/white/blue.
Which is the correct one for this car?
Anyone making reproduction emblems or is my only option to find a grille?

2-2584-535 Satellite red/white/blue

Hope this will help

For a Belvedere I, I think you need the black and silver, not the red, white and blue. Mine is black and silver. Try Joe Suchy.

I also done some research on these. 65 Sat. had the red/wht/blue, 65 Belv. had silver/blk and some in the later part of production had a red/blk grille emblem. there is a guy on the 62to65 mopar web site that reproduces these, his name is Charlie (65satelliteman)go to that sites swap meet section and you will find his phone #. Hope this helps John

The silver/black unit was on the Belvedere I, the red/black/minor silver unit was on Belvedere II's, and the red/white/blue unit was on all Satellites. I've owned three of these cars since new (my first had a September, 1964 production date) and the three units are distinct and exclusive to the separate models.

65 Belvedere II Grill Emblem

Here is a photo of the original untouched grill emblem on my 65 Belvedere II that I've had since it was new. This is a very early production car with the door panels dated Aug 64 and the wheels dated June 64. I have heard that this version was used on Belvedere IIs until early in calendar year 1965 when they began using the silver version. Hard to know for sure what is true after all these years but just another possibility to consider.

so where is this?? and why would you lol at something like this. just got e mail from charlie and said to be a honest mistake and he will send the real deal tomorrow. should of waited to hear back from him before i made post about a scam and 30 for one ? must be just a sticker

It's not a sticker, its the real deal. His brother in law owns a plastics company or something. I was going to grab one for my car before it became dedicated to the track. I was laughing because it's unbelievable that people pay that kind of money for a grille emblem. Someone in the us has got to have the machines capable of creating these on the cheap.

I built my Belvedere when there weren't too many options so I made my own in Photoshop. I printed it on good gloss paper and then coated it in several coats of a spray on clear coat. I used automotive trim adhesive and, Voila! It survived sun and car washings with no problem. No one ever noticed it was home made even at higher end car shows where it won several awards. You're all welcome to use the .jpg file in the post or PM me if you want an original photoshop file.
