I'm upgrading to 15'' rims on the front for the disc brake conversion I'm installing and wanted to get some tire size options to fill the wheel well without causing problems. The rims are 15x7 3.5 backspace weld draglites
I was thinking 235/60R15...225/70R15... what r you guys running? Any help would be great. Thanks

235/60/15 look nice on 68 front ends.(figuring you are refering to that 68 coronet)
225/70/15 is actually taller then 235 and a tiny bit skinnyer.
215/70/15 is closer if you want a thinner tire.
overall diameter(aprox by the math)
235/60/15 is 26.1 inch tall
225/70/15 is 27.4 inch tall
215/70/15 is 26.85 inch tall

Thanks for your input, The car in the picture is the one I'm refering to it has the 14'' on the front in the picture with 215/75R14 mounted.
I'm looking to fill the wheel well without hitting the frame rail on a tight turn. Thanks for the measurements I'm going to go out and measure the wheel wells.

you can get allot more tire & rim in a 68 B-Body, there are a ton of tire size threads here & in the racing forum too... I currently have Polished Halibrand Slots both front & rear on my 68 RR, 15x7's w/245/60/15 front, 15x8's w/295/50/15 rears w/BFG Radial TA's, no fit or rubbing issues what so ever, you can go much bigger even, the 68-69-70's have huge wheel wells, ride height & proper back spacing will dictate allot of what you can fit, the wheel well gets thinner/narrower as it gets toward the top... It ultimately depends on what look your after or how big or stock appearing your going for... there is a very good Percy Tire Fitment Tool sold by Summit Racing &/or Jegs for like $70, you can use it for many different size bolt patterns, rim sizes, back spacing, diameter, width &/or tire diameter widths/sizes, to get an absolutely perfect fit, with out guessing... IMHFO well worth the small investment, especially to get the proper looking & perfect fitting rim & tire combo, that will fill the wheel wells & look the best...

My 68 has 295-65-15 on the back,215-75-15 on the front. 8" Draglights on the rear and 6" (I think?)on the front. The stance is near perfect.

I had 225's in the Front and 245's in the Back; but I always thought they looked to be too small. I'd go at the very least 235 in the front and see if you can fit in a 255 in the back to give your Coronet a nice meaty tire look to it.

I just put these on yesterday,15x8 rear 4.5bs 275/60/15.15x6 in front 4bs 225/70/15new shoes 005.jpg.new grill should be here wed, replaced my front harness and all headlight hardware.

What brand front disc. setup did you go with? Just asking because I am trying to pick one for my Charger.

NICE!! I love the stance!!!

Right now the back are 275 60 15 with 15x8 and the front are 205 70 R14 with 14x7 rims in this picture.
The 15x7 are will replace the front so the new brakes will fit.

This is the kit for manual http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/mdc62sd
This is the Power Kit http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/mdc62dc
Then you can upgrade the calipers, rotors line etc for more money. What I like is it is 100% off the shelf Mopar parts that you can get at any auto parts store.

Thanks for the links. These seem to be a popular kit and I think are the same that PST is selling. So the master cylinder and brake pads are Mopar? I can't get any supplier to tell me that for sure.

they are 73 dart pads and rotors so you can get them from a parts store. I E Mailed the company and that was their answer. The guys name was Todd McClure.

Rims

I'm fairly sure you can fit a 15x10 in the Back to give it a race look and a I went with 15x8 in the front on my Charger which is virtually the same spacing.

Kudos to the members who posted the slicks underneath their Coronets!! They look awesome..

That's what i'm running as well, except a 3.5" BS in front. Pretty happy with it. Also need to get my grill in one of these days..lol
