That Chebbie bashing post was awesome can we now start a Mopar VS Phord one please

As a current owner of a 67 big block 4 spd Ranchero and one who put 90 K miles over ten years on a 68 Mustang, you won't find me doing much Ford bashing - except when it comes to that attempt at a front suspension and power steering system. But I prefer MoPar over all of them!

Some Fords are just cool, 62-70 Shelby or especially the Cobra's & AC's, 64, 66-67 V8 Ranchero's, 23 T-Bucket {especially in Altered Race car form}, most any 32-42 V8 Ford Coupes & Woody Wagons, 49-51 V8 Victoria's, Tudor Business Coupes & Woody wagons, 57, 63-64 & 66-67 Fairlanes {or Thunderbolts}, 57 Ranch wagon/2 dr Woody, 54-57 V8 F-100's {my favorite style pick-up}, 67-70 Mustangs V8's & only fastbacks or Shelby's {but not some of the freaken squirrelly *** Mustang people...LOL...}, 64 Sprint/Falcon Body style {especially as a race car}, 63-64 Galaxies BB FE 4 speed cars, 68-69 Cyclone's/Torino's or the 70-72 Torino's/GT's 351 & BB cars, then there are some that just aren't, cool at all, basically all the rest until the 2005 Mustang/Shelby's & they are just now growing on me... IMHFO Meeps Yes some specific SBF's are OK {302/351ci Cleveland's or 4V Windsors}, not preferred all SBF's compared to all SBC's, that's just me thou, to each their own... I'm not a big fan of their front suspension systems either & especially on newer 4x4's & Heavy Duty F-350-750 pick-up & commercial trucks... Disclaimer But I do own a F-350 Extra-cab 4x4 7.3ltr Power-Stroke Turbo, 6 speed, Diesel Dually, It's really just a tow rig for me, I liked my D-2500/3500 Rams Cummins & W-200/300 Cummis or Gas engines, Dodge trucks much better, I hate the damn F-350 thing really, rides like a freaken tank/buck board, can't hardly do a U-turn or turn it unless you have an empty damn parking lot or something, I just let Pops drive it mostly, he loves the POS, I think it make reminisces back to his school bus driven days or something...LOL... my daily driver is a 99 dakota 4x4 SLT 5.2ltr, far better than the Ford, except for it's towing capability

I love Mopars, but you guys just haven't lived until you've cruised down Daytona Beach or A1A during Spring Break in a 1976 Starsky & Hutch replica Gran Torino. You'll never get laid more in your life, but you do have to deal with hearing "Hey Starsky, you need a Hutch" from every gal on the street.

No offense Bruzilla but I'm not sure I want "laid" by any random highway woman old enough to remember who belongs in a red 76 Torino.

Just sayin'...
LOL

The biggest reasons to go Mopar to me mechanical wise are shaft mount rockers, .903 lifter diameter and deep skirted blocks with big blocks. I could keep goin but them three things are enough.

Never owned a Ford myself, but my company drives E250's exclusively. Hate to say it, but as delivery vans go, we've had great luck with Fords for 20 years, had a couple Chevy's and only one Dodge, which was the worst van we ever had in our fleet.

So I can't bash Ford either.

i will admit, Phord has a damn good truck. i have never owned one personally, but i did haul the GTX home from Wisconsin in 8" of snow with a 2004 F-250 xtra cab, long bed, pick-em up truck, and it did it very well.

most of my friends have owned all types of Phord trucks (bronco's, f-150's f-250's, exploders) over the years, and they have all taken the beatings (i have seen many first hand lol) administered to them and have held up!

I have a 71 F250 that I put 3300 lbs of scrap metal in the bed and it didn't hit the snubbers. It's a comforting thought you can put a Prius in the back (with the driver) and take it to the recyclers.

Nice, Meep. My father drives a Prius (oh, the horror!) and I'm just waiting for the day when he gets hit with sticker shock over replacing the battery pack. Never mind all the old packs go where... the dump?

God, I hate Priuses. The way they drive, the way they look. The way they lag on the roads and jam everything up and endanger other people's safety. The only good thing about 'em is pulling up next to one at a red light and smoking 'em in my Charger. The looks, the middle fingers I get are priceless. :headbang:

Ford was ahead of their time with vehicle security. You had to apply enough pressure to the gear selector in park so it would start :hello2:

My 73 Mustang convert still dose that once and a while LOL

LOL.... are you sure it's because of the Charger ??, sorry I'm with ya Pabster, I loath the Prius's & most their drivers too & I'm sure their owners absolutely hate me too, I get some of the dirtiest looks, in either my stinky loud a$$ f-350 4x4 diesel dually, spewing black sulfur/diesel fumes especially &/or my 4x4 Dakota or my RR even.... mostly thumbs up, instead of middle fingers, in the RR thou...

Well I guess I will admit I owned a furd and they were all turds 68 cougar sb 302 even with the 4v heads and a bunch of add on's a 351 would roll over me like I was stopped just sucked, next a 84 t-bird turbo coupe yep 4 banger turdbo blew the seam on an oil line and dropped a connecting rod also every year about the same time the electronic ignition module would crap out along with the TSP pure **** junk. Next 75 F250 not a bad truck just neede to rebuild the 390 once that was done it was reliable again.

Furds at least from my experience only lasted to 100k then self destructed almost like it was built in, and the headaches in between and cost of parts made it a looser all around for me.

First ride in a 68 barracuda in 1985 with a 318 and I was sold on MOPAR.

Fox body clubs = Furd Turd brigade :headbang:

Haha! My friends wife has one but they live in SD so I don't have to see it or ride in it. She's a really nice gal even though shes a total lib. She was bragging about the MPG and I said a VW diesel would probably out do it and cost the same or less AND no gov't subsidies! No reply.

Personally I like certain cars from all of the big 3. I usually pick on the foreign crap lol.
