I have jacked the car up by the differential pretty high. High enough to get under the car to put the socket on the nut. Position the breaker bar and/or pipe extension end against the ground. Let the car down slowly and the weight of the car loosens the nut. Never failed me. I don't even try it by hand first anymore.

I was using a pipe wrench and my impact to remove the nut.

i used the pipe wrench too on the ujoint sectionalso and only way was using a long jack handle bar over a 3/4 breaker barwith the 1-5/16 socket.
and alot of downward force. pipe wrench bottoms out on floorboar to keep yoke from spinning.

Mine did just had to brace the housing it was moving when using the impact. Course retorqueing it was fun. My dad had a old car jack bar on the pipe wrench and im getting lifted off the ground kinda bouncing the torque wrench to the 250ft lbs.

i went 250 ft.lbs on my 1/2" torque wrench then pulled on it till it went a little farther. i think 270 ft.lbs was my goal.

Was thinking of doing the same maybe did but yea my feet were off the ground lol.
