My first project car, 1972 dodge charger, 2 door hardtop, factory AC, disc brakes, full vinyl top, etc....pretty standard car.
Got it for a great deal, and it is a complete, running, driving vehicle, just needs TLC, a lot of TLC, to be put back together, painted and hit the road.
I am very excited and look forward to the adventure and challenge, I'm sure you will se me around, asking for advice and maybe a few little parts here and there.
Here she is, will be a beautiful car one.....one day.

Have been on here a lot since i signed up, been looking at the 71-74 forum a lot taking in advice and getting ideas. Have the 318, mild cam, big intake and 4bbl carb, runs awesome, needs a lot of tlc, going to do some minor mods, update interior to black instead of green, going to change the gears from 2.71 to something better.....etc, all the usual stuff to make her have some pep in her step. As far as paint I am thinking of doing the light gunmetal metallic color (A4), don't see it much anywhere, painting a black top to simulate vinyl, putting her back together and go cruising.. :pink banana:
Great project ahead, so any advice is welcome!!!
Hooah!

To simulate vinyl you could try black wrinkle paint? I just did a pair of 71 R/T rear tail lights and they came out great looking! Just a thought?

Good luck!

Think I am just going to do a semi gloss/satin type paint, smooth but not quite as shiny as the rest.
