So I've been on here for a little while but I didn't want to introduce myself til I had pictures to post, cuz I know "it's useless without pics". I live just north of Seattle, WA. I bought this 64 Polara 500 about 35 years ago for $35.00, no engine or trans, from a scrapper. I had plans of going drag racing so I threw away the whole interior :sigh:, beside they were everywhere in the wrecking yards. Anyway I started building a 413 bored to a 426, 11:1, milodon external oiling, tunnel ram. Built a 727 with a cheetah reverse manual valve body, and 5:13 gears. Then I got married, and started remodeling houses, having kids (two girls, ones graduating from college this summer, second graduates HS next year then off to college. Very proud!). So my car sat with no time, energy or money.
So a while back I decided to make it a street car and started collecting missing parts and working on it a few hours here and there. Now I have a little more time so I unburied the car, took some pics and Voila.

As you can see I have a few rust issues, though not bad. Bought a performer rpm, and a "509" cam so I can have some fun! Nice to meet you all, Rene'

Welcome to the site...... Good luck on the build, and we all love update pictures / stories to go along with it!!!

You'll have to get that thing together and drive over to the Mukilteo Fairy for a cruise around Whidbey Island.... A stop at Green Bakes Farms for a slice of pie and coffee, then over to the old Ft Casey for a nice little cruise!!! Boy that's nice country!!!!

Welcome aboard! Glad you got time to work on her now.

Welcome! Nice ride, and funny how life goes - now you have time for yourself, build it right. I am a Seattleite transplanted to Vegas, and used a machine shop in Brier in 1983 to build an FE Ford. Nice place, enjoy the rain.

Thanks guys, I'll need all the support i can get over the next few years! And yah you got to like the rain to live here, but it makes the sunny days and the greenery all the more glorious!
