1969 Charger R/T resurrection

Went through your thread and looks like I'm a little late to the party but outstanding job elk!! Looking good and seems like you're making quick progress. I know what you mean about the metalwork hurdle, I dont have anywhere near as much to do on my Charger as you did but it will be a nice thing to have out of the way. And copperhead pearl is an awesome color, but I think copper sunset would be killer. Decisions, decisions haha :icon_thumleft:

Looking good Elk......Spring's in the air. Happy sanding. Johnny Cash's train beat rhythm's makes a good cadence for sanding...

Thanks Will - but I don't think the kid would care for that. Way before his time. He did tell me that every car he has done is more than capable of wearing black paint. I am believing him after seeing as how fussy he is. Maybe the wife will get her triple black Charger after all.

Since the better half has learned the car will be staight enough to be black, she left me this picture as a screen saver. So now I'm down to 2 color combos. This is a sharp looking car IMO.

Black...Sinister! We'll i'm sure not going to argue with you on that one! Tough to beat a black Muscle Car IMO...

If you go that route..Let me know. I have a black color code you could look at that's a real deep, coal black hue. No grey or yellow/brown tint in the sun. Kinda pricey though. Unless you're going a factory Mopar black of course.

I really like the color you had in mind and most likely still do but, its sure hard to beat the black sinister look on any Mopar, a Charger in black? Oh yea, nothing wrong with that for sure.

I'm thinking the same as you Ron. I'm down to copperhead pearl / copper sunset or the killer black. From all the people I've asked for opinions it is evenly split. If I ever did sell the car, black would probably help. Black would also be easier and cheaper to paint than a pearl color. Decisions, decisions........

Black with the white stripes around the *** end, along with white letter tires = AWESOME!!!!

you could do a poll just for fun ... I'm gonna go ahead and vote black. It's gonna look great whatever you decide H2E!

You can do it in advanced mode ... I think you would have to start a new thread though. You could do color stripe combos voting options too i.e. black w/ white stripe, black w/white stripe, copper w/ ... etc

I feel your pain Hunt. As you probably know, I'm stuck between red and black. I think black is the most admired color now due to the movie/s. Fast & Furious, Blade, and Bullit helps it out also. Side note- F & F clones are selling for big bucks. I saw that the next F & F movie is going to have Vin in a Daytona, which he owns.

Yeah, it sounds like we are having the same problem. Maybe one of us should paint our car black and then every other year we could trade off?

I have been absent for so long that you have started a project and passed me up in progress lol!!

Awesome work!! Love the car!

But they way you work Dave you will leapfrog me in no time. Didn't you chalk that up to ADHD once? I might need some of that stuff to get me through this project.

Yes, ADHD and in my case, good old fashioned "retard strength".

LMAO!!

I wonder if that is either 2003-08 GoMango or 2012-13 Copperhead Pearl? I like it - especially if it had with chrome bumpers and wheel well moldings. I thought I saw a pic of this car somewhere after paint and they claimed GMG, but I can't be sure if it is the same one. Was there a writeup on the car where you found the video by any chance?

Just Googled Ghostworks. It is the 2006 GoManGo.

I saw this car at the Mopar nationals last year under the Year One display, very very nice car. Not a fan of vinyl tops but it looks good.
