You think there's no interest in that car? This thread has 18 replies. There is interest in them 68 runners. Take it to the spring fling in Van Nuys May 12th and 13th.

gotta agree with kdtjb and I gotta also note the old axiom that there is no such thing as bad press. The comments keep boosting this thread to the top so hopefully more people (some are lurkers and don't comment) see it. Not everyone agree's on your price but who cares. You have clearly said make offers. I don't know if you are getting any PM's or not I but hope so. Seems like a good solid car and a 68 hard top. My simple math is less body work and metal replacement = less cost. Good luck the sale. I wish you well.

You may want to post pics of-
-fender tag
-interior
-front of the car
-inside of trunk
Is the motor an HP? Just my 2 cents, but a car that needs window corners, lower quarters, trunk extensions, complete paint and upho;stery isn't an easy project. It does look like a nice project, just not an easy one. Good luck with the sale!

Well, Im in sacramento, looking for a project. But I would be serious buyer at 8k for it. Not what your looking for but more in line for me. Very nice ones are going for high teens and low 20s all day long. Just needs to be some meat on the bone so Im not soaked in it. If interested PM me. I can be there most any day next week. If not , I understand trying to get more.
The people saying its worth more, never are the buyers with money to purchase. I sold my 68 charger 4 speed last week for 25k and everyone said wow thats worth 30k easily why you sell it so cheap? I said because nobody with money thought it was worth 30k. And if its worth 30k, give me 25 and you go make the 5k profit. That didnt work either.

I understand what you are saying about if it were a driver, but mine has a NEW engine & trans, new upholstery and a bunch of new parts. Have you priced out what it costs to build a Mopar big block or any parts for a Mopar. Definitely not cheap like a Chevy. Anyway, I appreciate the input, and I am open to offers or maybe even a partial trade. Thanks!

Most of us around here build our own engines.. . I'm a total Rookie, but what you have there is a motor, not an engine, unless yo mean all the accessories are new too. . . . not rebuilt, NEW. New upholstery isn't that much, and definitely not going to make or break a car purchase.

One reason we build our own motors, is to save the majority of money it takes to get a vehicle running. . . .. Just my $.02. . . but that is a heck of a lot of scratch for that car in the shape yours is in. . . . you asked for input. . . .

If I were filthy rich, and had a pile of cash to throw into it, maybe I'd consider it, but I see better than that all the time. Plus in this economy, you can't expect this to sell that quickly, for that much money. This is probably why your first post didn't work out, to tell you the honest truth.

What would you be interested in trading for? Looking for anything in particular? That might help too. Good luck with your car.

Number 1 is at 13000 and 3 days to go, it is from oiho ( no tellen how much has been covered up) rust belt capital of the free world.
Number 2 is not a 68 or 69
Number 3 same as above, so whats my point? Headline Old Cars Price Guide, As every thing else is falling in price, for some reason B Body Doges and Plymouths have gone up 10%. This was a story I read when the sky was falling a few years back. The one and only cars mentioned in the story were 68 and 69 B bodies. And most sought after was Roadrunners & Chargers. This was in a quarterly magazine that follows all makes and marks as fairly as any out there. They didn't say Firebird, they said Roadrunner. They didn't say Chevelle, they said Charger. So what the H am I talking about? It is just what I said before, lets not drive the price of a good rust free mopar down because you can get a rust bucket back east for 1/2 price. Not knocking back east, I was raised there. But some people back there that say rust free (and truly believe it) don't have a clue.

Looks like the 69 was done professionally LOL. I thought you were supposed to do the body work BEFORE you paint the car. As for the other 2, those are like comparing a 1975 mustang II to a 69 Mach 1. Now understand, I'm not insulting the 1973-74 Roadrunners, but they were NOT a muscle car in the true sense of the word. But again, I appreciate the input. Also check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...Cars_Trucks&hash=item20d0bbb7d9#ht_758wt_1047 Am I really so far off on my price??

# 1 ebay car: Ya, I read a little closer and the trunk pan needs replaced. That means the rear window bottom is probably gone too.

I agree 1st one appears to be a bondo bucket and the other 2 are like camparing apples to oranges.

Price is fair on the OP car,i'd be all over it if i was needing another project.

Then go buy the car. "I'd be all over it" don't mean **** unless you're buying. .....and why aren't you? Yeah. Cause it's too much.

Um mr thinks he no's all cause my plate is full, and dont need another project.Yep i know that dont mean crap sorta like most of your thread posts.I still dont think he's that far out of line, more of your just a cheap skate.

Did you even read the entire ad? Or just the price?

Hey guys! This is just an ad for a car for sale. Let's all keep it friendly. I appreciate the input of ALL of you. If you think I'm asking too much, that is fine and I respect your opinion. If you think it is priced right, that's great and I appreciate your opinion. If you want to buy the car and want to make an offer, that is even better! The main thing is lets not get nasty. OK I've said my piece. Thanks!

You asked for opinions and here is mine. Your car is worth 12k +/- to someone. Advertise this thing everywhere but be strict in how you receive money. (lots of scams). Be patient. It's a roadrunner and bottom line it's cool. I could ramble on about why, but I will not. I also suggest that u just advertise your car with great photos and clear description and a price. Do not ask for opinions because it turns into this. Steve, OCD Restoration

I think it would bring 9 to 10.5 thousand as is.... Someone will invest another 10 -15 for a GREAT car! That gets you your 20 -30 thousand dollar car value.......
With restoration,,, you still have tons of time invested in prep work,,,, disassemble stripping old paint, fixing what you thought was good to begin with, then fixing everything you already seen plus a little more because it's worse than it appeared, material costs.... the list goes on! that's why I say 10 - 15 thousand to restore it.....
I dont think I'm far off on this...

Yeah I guess you're right. Thanks.
