Several questions -

Has anyone ever put a 16-17" rim on a 68-70 B body?

I think 15's just look too small in those big wheel wells. I'm trying to keep my Bee appearing all stock and will go with Magnum 500's.
Do they even make a 16 or 17" Magnum 500? Has anyone ever seen one or used them?

What are you thoughts on appearance?

Thanks

whaddya live under a rock ? lol that's the thing now days. there are several threads on big wheels . some look good , some don't IMO

16" torquer thrust 2's on my 70 coronet. They look good to me.

Stay oldschool and go for 15".
Big wheels do not suit a vintage car at all.

I do not like big wheels.I have a buddy with 17's on his 69 Charger they look OK but I think 15's look better.

I emailed Stockton wheels about those 16" and 17" mag 500's and the response was "waiting for the guys in the back to get back to me with prices" Have not heard back yet. They show them on their site but they are the only ones lol

One mans likes another mans dislikes pick what you want you can always change it. Personally I like the 15" just bought my mag 500's I'm Just old I guess.

all the old guys harking on about keeping small wheels.

big wheels look great, massive wheels look ****.

it is easier to get tires for bigger wheels then smaller ones. big wheels usually require a better performance tire which will handle better, slow you better, corner better etc.

dont get me wrong i use to have 15 x 10 centreline autodrags on my 68 charger now i have 19 x 10 boze rims and yeh the centrelines looked awesome, but now the car looks 10x better.

Rustymopar i think wheel vintiques and american racing sell a billet version of the magnum 500 from 16-19" i think

I am currently trying to decide what size wheels to put on my newly purchased 70 RR (need up upsize at least to 15" to fit over the disc brake kits I am going to install on it). Do a search for a wheel visualizer. I have found a few that let you see how your car looks with different brands, models and sizes of wheels and tires. Have found it very helpful

I think of myself as an older guy, but with all the new wheels and profiles, 15's are starting to look like balloons on some of our cars. We have all seen that the correct wheel/tire combo can make-or-break the cars attitude. Properly done, the larger rims can greatly enhance the attitude of the vehicle. Done wrong, you'll end up with a "nice car, buuut....". Styling and proportion are keys. At least you can find many examples on the web before you spend some major coin.
