What do you think of this look?

Looks good and fills the rear up nicely! Personally I would go a tad smaller for the front! Just my opinion! Nice charger! Do you still have the hemi in it? I had a chance a number of years ago to buy the mate to yours in Wa.state AN older couple bought it new in 66 Red,white interior Hemi auto. The lady drove it every day to work! They finally took the emblems off guys were bugging her all the time! I told her I would buy it they wanted to sell it if and when She drove it for a couple more years! And wouldn't you know it I was moving back home She couldn't catch up with me and wound up selling it to a friend of mine for$2000.00 Always my luck!!!

Naw, I pulled the hemi and replaced it with the leaning tower of power!! LOL! $2K is a pretty good deal for a car that is worth five figures on a really bad day. I seem to miss those deals too.

Front tires look a bit 'heavy' IMO, but fine. I'm guessing you went same size all the way`round so you can get the full benefits of tire rotation...I wouldn't change them for sake of appearance.

X2

I had 4 T70 wheels is all. Plus I figured they would fit (barely).

With these old wheels you are pretty much stuck as far as BS is concerned. They are hard enough to find as is much less having a variety of BS choices. But I'm sure you would know better than I as I was a bit to young in 1970 to be looking at buying wheels! If there is a vintage T70 available with a deeper BS I'd like to know about it. FYI: These T70 wheels were only made between Jan and June 1970.
I really didn't mess with aftermarket wheels until the mid to late 70's and the only wheels I did change in early 71 were the stock steelies on my 66 Belvedere for a set of stock 69 AMX wheels that a buddy took off of his. Not a good pic but......this was just before selling it because I was shipping out to Germany and had no place to keep it. Was a lot of fun beating others with a 'slightly' modified 383 who were unsuspecting of a 4 door. It was funny how many knew to look across the hood to look at the back side of the emblem which still had 318 on it lol

Very Nice ! Yes the front Tires could be down one size in the profile height but its filled in nice, BUT loose those Tailpipes and throw on some straight back Mustang style stainless tails out back, Yours look Tailpipes take away from the lines of the Charger the way it is now.
Then a light tint on the glass with that white interior i'tll look great .......and I think your done !

Nice Work
Ron

I know what you mean about those tail pipes. I laugh every time I see them. They came with the car and I believe that whole system is an accurate repop (meaning expensive!). I'm trying to sell the car and I don't want to do anything unless I have to, and right now I have to sort out the driveline vibration!

Thanks for the good words all!

Love it uncle....but what is the back spacing on the rears? 4.5?

Pretty sure those are all 3.75" BS.

I like the wheels but I would have went with a 275 in the rear and a 205 up front.

A 205 on an 8.5" rim? I'm stretching a 255 just a little as it is. I think the answer is to put a 7" up front but those are impossible to find.

man that looks good, when you send the plane just drop it off here.mark

Yeah, I bet Charger Girl would like that. You would need to put M/T valve covers on it though.

I think the pipes just may not be installed correctly...they look too low. I would think some adjustments at the hangers would tuck everything up where it should be? That would simply be time spent under the car (free$$)! Good luck with the vibration.

i think it looks great! personally some angles look a little whale-ish. Not to sidetrack...but i would love to see the hideaway headlight system on a Coronet

Hey Meeps, for the tailpipes, for now you should just cut the ends off near the back of the rear tires so you don't see it. No cost there.

It looks just awful, now send me those wheels....I actually planned to run the exact tire size on all 4 corners of my coronet.

Do you have manual steering? How hard does it turn or is it pretty good?

Wheels & tires are nice.

Car is ugly though!!!..... But, they are starting to grow on me.

It's a PS car.

I'm going to run the same tries on my 69 RR but on 15x8 Keystones (assuming I'll ever get it done).

I think it looks crappy but as far as I know that is how those pipes are supposed to be. Another guy I know has the exact same car and his pipes are like this too. Of course the repo system is from the same place but I would think Accurate Exhaust would get it.....well......accurate.

By shortening up the exhaust hangers at the mufflers and the ones on the tail pipes, that whole system will tuck right up where it's supposed to be.
