New look of my 70 coronet

Thanks guys.

If I had the holes already in the front valence I would have tried the bumperettes, but since I don't I won't be moving forward with that idea. I guess I just have a nice set of used bumperettes I can sell eventually.

Ay first I did not like the hood but now I am finding it very cool!

So what do you guys think? Should I put the dog dishes back on? Although if I end up going to the track in the near future I would take them back off. I am also thinking of tinting the windows a little more.

Definately not a fan of the hood/ grille, but its not my car and it's still super bad ***!

With the hood and grille blacked out, I like the black wheels without dog dishes. I had the same dilemma but decided to go the other way.

How did you do the "hood"?
Simple Coronet "Flat" hood and then add the fiberglass "M-code" scoop?
I'm really liking it more and more!

I had to line it all up and then go slow to cut the hole out of the steel hood. I had to make sure I would have clearance or else it would all just get trashed later. The motor shakes quite a bit.

The scoop was then riveted on. I could pick up the whole hood by the scoop, so it isnt going anywhere. I removed the body line behind the scoop. I had to seal all the holes I created on the underside as well with metal and a lot of welding and grinding.

I then used glass and metal glaze for the body work. The paint was called "hot rod black kit" from SEM. I am told it doesnt fade like the old organisol paint does. Let me know if you have any other questions. Or if you need some pics.

Looks great ! My buddy owns a bunch of Chevys and thinks Chevelles are the epitome of Bad *** muscle cars .... I always told him there is nothing like a 70 Bee or Coronet. Yours fits the bill bang on.

Beautiful !

Hi - love the Coronet and that Red Charger...what are the rim and tier specs for both???

Thanks guys for the comments. It's hard to believe I have owned the car for 4 years and I am still putting parts on her. Just some minor things to finish up. I guess that is how this game is played.

I cant remember the tire size for the front. I believe they are 225/70/15 and the rears are 275-60-15.

another pic

I decided to stick with the dog dishes, but here is another pic without.

Yeah gotta say I think it would look meaner without the dog dishes but they also look great with, either way. Badass ride!
