Need some help again. I was under the Coronet this weekend, was changing the gas tank sending unit. Found out that the ground strap was broken and only one end was left on the car. Went on ebay to buy a new one but there are 2 different lenths, one is 3.75 inches and the other appears to be some what longer(maybe 5 or 6 inches). Can someone tell me which one I should buy. Thanks in advance.

Is this for a concourse resto car or you just worried about something that works? That ground strap just needs to reach from the metal on the fuel sending unit outlet to the metal on the fuel line. That being said, measure up and if 3.75 looks too short, get the longer. Operationally........A hunk of 12 gauge AWG wire from the sending unit to the line, or the sending unit to the chassis will work just as fine and cost next to nothing. Cover the ends of the wire with liquid electrical tape if going that route. Either way, all you're doing is just grounding the sending unit to the car.

The longer one......I just replaced my fuel tank sender and the shorter one would be too short....
