do the Outer wheel houses on 69-70 chargers interchange with other b bodies of the same year range?

68-70 Dodge is different than 68-70 Plymouth.

so just as long as it is a dodge in this year range I'll be fine?

All 68-70 Dodge B-bodies are the same.

AND the stupid bulge that exists in them also is found on other 68-70 B body cars. I hate that bulge. If I knew about it before I painted the car, I would have modified the tubs. I want to run my rear tires out flush to the edges of the wheel opening but I can't. Maybe I'll cut them out over the winter and patch something else in. I was worried about the risk of burning the paint on the quarter. I recently heard about panel bonding adhesives that could be a great alternative to welding.

the 2dr and 4 dr outer wheelhouses are different.
imo
The AMD wheelhouses are parts of last resort!
they have retooled that part a few times and
the latest version still fits like crap and it is not close to original looking.
so there is more then one version available out there,
if a vendor has been sitting on some older stock.
AMD sells the newer version now.
the outer lip will not mate up to the quarter radius very well.
it took me a long time to get AMD to even admit they even have a problem
with that part
they live in denial untill you have them nailed cold...

Didn't know that the 4 door wells were different. I guess I have never had one to worry about it, but that is good information for guys buying a donor car and swapping metal.

when AMD first made that part,
the sample they had was from a 4dr car..
when i heard that,
i knew right then it was totally wrong because
i had a mint pair of originals from a 4 dr at my feet and i
knew they were not the same thing!
thats why i had bought the AMD in the first place.
so for a long time, AMD didn't know they were different either! lol

it took alot for me to get AMD to fess up and admit it.
they were pointing at the installer (me) and acting stupid and
they were in denial for a long time..
until i found out it was retooled..
they could not lie to me anymore because they knew
they were caught.
i was pissed at them because i wanted to return them and to get a refund
and the wouldn't take them back!

Hey Fly.
What all is different with the 4-dr housing? The only thing I could find is the 4-dr outer has a notch for the rear door jam. I've also seen these on some 2-dr.

The 4D is considerably lower than the 2D, if you measure from the bottom of the rocker panel to the top of the wheel arch.

I believe the top is a different contour, as well.

you are correct on both counts..

i wanted to put it together with no splicing on the panel..silly me!
i should of known better! lol

in the end i had to splice in about 3/4 of a inch material
around the whole arch so the 2 panels would mate up
like they did originally.

you can't see it unless you are on the ground on your back looking up.
so most people are not aware of it.
slap some undercoating on and cover it up, done..
is how most people would deal with it.
