i HAVE A 1967 BELEVEDERE WITH A 318, WE PUT IN A 440 ATTACHED TO THE SAME K-FRAME. WITH EDELBROCK PERFORMANCE ALUMINUM HEADS AND HOOKER COMP.HEADERS.
THE HEADERS HIT THE TORSIONS BARS AND STEERING COLUMN ON THE LEFT AND TORSION BAR ON THE RIGHT SIDE. SOME HAVE SAID THE K-FRAME IS WRONG.
THIS WAS AN ORIGINAL 318 CAR, I AM TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE K-FRAME WAS DIFFERENT FOR THE SLANT-6 AND THE HEMI ONLY. PLEASE ADVISE

Yes the K-frame is the same for 318 and 440 other than the 440 skid plate. Sounds like your headers are for 383/400 and not 440. I have a set of headers that did the same in my 72B. Fit great with the 383 but hit the T-bars with my 440.

x2 with moparmarks.

What heads do you have?
Some higher performance Aluminum heads have a raised exhaust port "like Edelbrock Victor series"..... This causes the same issue.....

The exhaust ports on the Eddy RPM heads are a bit higher than on a stock head too....so that may be most of your problem. IIRC, TTI headers addressed that with their tubes. I've also dropped a few big blocks in on K frame where a small block once sat.

Yep,
My 67 had a 318 LA and now sports a 440 with Raised port heads "Victor" and the TTI headers you mentioned.....
