71 roadrunner run wire location car would fire and stop runinng when key was in run pull apart bulkhead connectors then plugged back in and it fired and ran stumped

Bad bulkhead connection, pretty common. I've been putting off replacing the connectors for a while now , even though I have replacements. not sure about the 71 , but my bad one is , if I remember right, 2nd from right on top row.

The secret is to clean them and then put some dielectric grease on them.....

had a very similar problem with my 73 RR....was at the bottom in the middle plug...heavy red wire...when un-plugged then re-plugged..it would come loose or push out the back side of bulk head connector a little...firmly push it in and bang..no problems..of coarse they were cleaned and greased when unplugged
