Here's some pictures of my friends '69 383/4 speed Road Runner he bought from the original owner here in Los Angeles in 1978. As you can see it has been modified...he removed the side marker reflectors before shooting it the original factory color. The engine and trans. are number's matching...although modified, the 383 features ported and polished 915 heads with 11.1 forged TRW pistons, 057.jpg058.jpg059.jpg060.jpg061.jpg062.jpg063.jpg064.jpg065.jpg066.jpg161.jpg162.jpg163.jpg277.jpgfully balanced rotating assembly, an original Direct Connection .509 cam he bought years ago. the 8-3/4" rear runs 3.91's....he does ocassionally swap the 4.56's. I've ridden in this car many times and it's one of THE fastest 383's I've ever been in, (even with the old school engine mods), the cackle coming about of the Hooker Aerochamber mufflers is pure evil!
