1969 Dodge Coronet 440

318/727/ 8:34 rear

This car would make an excellent candidate for a SuperBee Clone, but it’s just too nice of a car to do that to.

Here is a very original 69 Dodge Coronet. Only 3 documented owners with me being one of them

The previous owner bought this car in 1983 from the original owner. Nice original documentation to show its 89k miles. There is also a $4 speeding ticket this Mrs. Got in 1969, shortly after the purchase.

Shame on her. The Dodge comes with the original owner’s manual and other documents. It has the original trunk mat, original near flawless interior with only one re-paint. It was also purchased with an original 1 piece floor mat from the dealer. The car is located near Annapolis, MD. This is my personal driver. Below is a detailed description.

The Good –

- Heavily documented original car.

- Body shows very nice with shiny paint and just a few small body flaws (chips) – very straight

- All glass in great shape.

- Very clean engine bay

- All bright work in great shape.. Door handles have minor pitting. Bumpers look new.

- The motor starts up the first time every time. If the motor is warm it might take 3-5 seconds to fire.

- Transmission shifts perfect.

- Drives straight as an arrow, no pulling when driving or braking.

- Vinyl top is perfect.

- The interior – it has a dash cap because the dash pad has 1 crack dead in the center.

- Nice gauge cluster – fuel gauge and temp gauge just quite working (fuse or a ground issue)

- Seats are perfect as is the carpet.

- Headliner has 2 small mouse holes and have been covered with black tape.

- All lights work, as well as horn

- Beautiful tail panel

- Great dual exhaust sound

- Floor pans, frame work and trunk are perfect. No patches anywhere.

- Wheel wells are all solid – no patches

- No replacement panels or bondo anywhere

- Nice new looking rims and tires.

- Drum brakes and power steering.

- New fuel tank and sending unit and wire to front bundle plug

- New circuit board behind gauge cluster

- Nice tidy wiring behind dash. No rats nest

- This is a functional A/C car, however one tube to the front evaporator has a crack. Compressor and wiring all intact and works.

A couple things which need help –

- Fuel gauge and temp gauge. Grounding issue or fuse.

- AC tube needs soldered or replaced right at the evaporator in front of radiator.

- Small valve cover leak drivers side rear corner. I was beneath the car and could see where its leaking from. It leaks just enough to annoy me and make the floor moist about the size of a tea cup saucer, but does not puddle.

Now that is a nice 69.
Won't find one that nice for that price, even with a baby V8 in it.
