another WIW thread - 69 GTX

Hi all,

I am wondering what this car may be worth and would like to start discussion about it.

1969 GTX
The car was stored inside but has been sitting for quite a while.

-It is a E85 console car and was originally from Hawaii.
-Most of the parts are there
-Interior needs to be re-done, but is all there.
-The only rot is in the front floor pans (needs some patches not whole floor) and trunk pan (extensions are fine).
-The is a hole by the battery tray and a small hole on the firewall. I will have to post some more pics later.
-The torsion bar areas are very nice.
- The underside of the fenders and quarters are solid with no issues. The dutchman panel is good too, but there are two small holes right under the rear window. The insides of the doors is nice and solid too. Even behind the splash shields is in good shape.
-vent windows are really nice
- all glass present and the trim
-8 3/4 with 3.55 gear, 727 trans
motor will need to be gone through. It has 452 heads. much of the engine bay components are there.
-Frame rails are solid
- console is in really good shape
-dash needs a new pad but is decent shape. heater/ac box is there.
-the car must have been primered prior to storage.
- there is a small amount of filler in a couple small spots.
-missing the side chrome trim
-power window car
-grill is in decent shape, the headlight buckets are awesome
-finish panel will need to be re-done
-multi-colored engine bay. green was the original color
-magnum wheels
-the car does have coil overs in the back with helper springs, so someone had some fun with the car. It is straight and not twisted up.
-drum brakes all around, and power steering.
-Came with an extra hood, with inserts in great condition.
-9800 produced in 1969.

I am thinking about selling it the way it is, but for the most part this would be a great car to restore, so I am on the fence. I may just get it running and cruise it around the way it is.

Anyway, let's get the discussion going. I would love to get some feedback on this car. I don't really need a third mopar, but they are addicting and I love buying them and driving them.

These W_I_W threads are always so damn subjective... Just a wild a$$ gue$$... I would say to start @ about $7,500- $10,000 "maybe as is", if it ran & drove at-least, it's really hard to tell how good of shape it is in, by the one photo, I've seen some listed as cheap as $6,600, none lately thou.... if it was a 4 speed dana-60 car, I would say quite a bit more, in the condition it's in, here in Northern Calif. "maybe" anyway... Detroit area, I don't know your market out there, very well... there's an a$$ for every seat, it sounds to be & looks like a good decent typical project

I totally agree with you on the subjectiveness of this thread. I will post more pics to help the topic along. I kinda just wanted to get my feelers out to see what some of you may have to say. I appreciate your comment.

Solid complete GTX here in the Midwest,i would think $10,000 would be doable.

I would be thinking around the $7000-$8000 mark. Remember your economy is still down.
