Anybody around here put one of those discount darlings in a big block 75-79??

In case yer wonderin: they have a model they claim will fit but also claim it will fit 74-78 C bodies. The hang with that is that a c body rad is an inch taller and has the mounting bracket and fan shroud holes in different locations.

Yeah, been tryin to get an answer from them. Thats not workin so well, so lookin for somebody else that tried it.

Don't know about 75-79 sorry, but I'm waiting for mine to get here. My 67 coronet came with a small block and someone slapped a 440 in it and used a 68 c-body radiator. I just made sure all the dimensions where the same. Just measure and get the one that's closest w/o going oversize. Make sure necks are in the right location and right diameter. If the shroud holes don't match then drill new ones

The one that I am looking at has the right core and over all measurement and hose locations in right places. Bracket holes might differ but can make new holes for that. The problem with drilling new holes to run the factory shroud is that the pic of the rad shows only small tabs - there would be no where on the rad to make new holes for the shroud. Drilling new holes in the shroud isnt a great option either. If I end up going that route, will have to deal with a big gap between the rad and the shroud.

Just buy an after market shroud....Summit sells them.

best bang for the buck and a warranty/guarantee second to none. Bought several and satisfied every time. They even pay return shipping if not happy for any reason within 30 daysView attachment 126558

I got one for my 74 Road Runner and it was a spot on.

Cool! Now tell me it's a model 503 and that you're running a 440 with a factory shroud.
