Rare car with hidden compressor and dash outlets.

Looks really clean - good luck with the sale.

6t4polar said is was "Rare car with hidden compressor and dash outlets."

I'm not sure how rare but I assumed it was. The Air condition outlets are up under the dash where the heat also comes out at.

Thanks to all that have messaged me or had help with the car.

Can anyone tell from the numbers or looking at it if this is the 318poly or the 273LA motor?

By the shape of the valve covers I would say its a 318 poly.

I susppect a poly motor too but I'm not real up on the small blocks. I've been trying to chase it down based on the "832" code on the build sheet and by the car's VIN but nothing so far.

A photo of the fender tag would help a great deal.

I've added a couple pics since there has been a lot of interest in the air condition setup

So do you dump ice in or what?Still not seeing the compressor or condenser?

Are you confusing the last button on the heater controls which says cool as air conditioning.
This allows outside air to enter through the vents without being heated.

Has it been painted?

Engine bay is black and I think the paint code is "Z" IIRC - gold.

Almost looks like a citron int, as well.

Pretty sure its cold air, temp was 96 today and the car was blowing cold.

Ill be happy to take more pics of the engine bay since its so hard to believe it has air.

Yes, I believe its had a freshening up paint.

Uh, the first pics clearly show a poly head 318, with no a/c compressor, and a black engine bay.

These latest pics show a blue big block engine with a compressor and a body color engine bay.

What's up with that?
