Look what I found in my rear diff housing today.

I found a broken thrust block in my housing when I pulled the 741 case today. It has 2.76 open gears. I am swapping it for a 489 sure 3.55 grip. Anyone know what could cause the thrust block to snap in two?

You may be right. The end play adjuster is frozen due to the flange being bent and rust. Looks like new parts are needed.
