Hey,
Anyone know out there, where I can get a pin on fiberglass hood for a 1968 Dodge Charger?
On the West Coast, California, Oregon, Washington State. I live in Utah.
Other than Unlimited Fiberglass in California. ( what a joke for a fiberglass Company).
Thanks For any help.

Hey,

What happened with stuff from Unlimited ??, maybe Fiberglass Trends use to be, in LA area, Long Beach area, "I think it was", but I don't know if they're even still in the fiberglass business thou, I think they went the Saki sippen' Tuner parts direction... I have only used their {Unlimited Fiberglass} front & rear bumpers, on a couple cars & I actually had no issues, they were very light, like only 4#'s, but never any/none of their other parts...

AAR Fiberglass, US Body Source, Harwood, VFN Fiberglass, Sled City, Unlimited Products, Harry's Glass, Hybrid Fiberglass, Year One {not sure who they use to supply some of their stuff}, WS Racing Fiberglass, Fiberglass Trends, all people/suppliers, that I've used in the past, some might not even be in the fiberglass business anymore, among others I'm sure, maybe not "just for Mopar parts" or Chargers, some are only specific years & makes too, but there're allot of them out there some are way better than others, some are way more pricey, with not much better quality too... Not many on the west coast anymore either, Ohio & Indiana or the mid west, northeast or Florida, seems to be the norm now, where these type of companies are mostly located now, the west coast is too expensive property values or rent, taxes & in labor costs these days, driving them all to other more business, worker friendly states... Try a Google Search maybe

The hood I received from Unlimited Fiberglass, was ground off, or DA sanded off on the right front corner where the
fender meets the hood by a good 1/8" to 1/2" from 12" from hood edge to fender. (see pictures compare to left side).
Was told to send it back which I have , now back and forth on phone as of today to get, either my money back or another hood.
Keep jacking me around telling me this is the first time they have had a problem, out of 100 sold. ( yeah right).
When I sent them the pictures, the one guy told me to send it back they would send me a replacement, now
there saying there is nothing wrong with it. There are 2 other places on the edge of the hood, that are flat, 9" to 10" long that have also been ground down, or DA sanded, where I would have to use body filler, or tapper the hole edge around the hood to match. (NO WAY).

:iamwithstupid: That freaken' sucks for sure, it shouldn't have ever even been shipped like that... The guy I dealt with always is named Kevin & he seemed to be a very level headed respectful person & reasonable guy to work with... I would talk to someone in-charge or the actual owner, don't waste your time & get in a pissing contest over E-mail or the phone, with any of the sales people, that never is a good thing, never will work out well in your favor... also I would suggest you tell the owner/manager, send stuff to him specifically, I'm sure he doesn't want to see inferior product like that ever leave the facility, it's extremely bad for business... Also tell him how you've been treated by the sales rep, tell them whom ever it was you dealt with... go over their damn heads, rock the freaken' boat... everything I've gotten has been just fine, but also only bumpers too... good luck...

sometimes you just have to bite the bullet, pay the extra $$$$$ in expensive shipping costs & get the part from someone much farther away...
