Mopar Nats - what drives me crazy!

1) Too many bozos in golf carts and more (see below) not looking where they are driving, parking in the middle of the aisles, generally acting like they own the place. Yeah, I know some people need them to get around, but too many that have them don't need them. One butt-hole ran over the foot of my buddy's son and didn't even stop!:angryfire:

2) The golf carts were bad enough, now I am getting shoved aside by four seater Polaris ATVs and other vehicle that are a lot faster than golf carts and are the size of a small car!:angryfire:

3) The road along the outside of the staging lanes should have parallel parking only. Fun Field cars are parked along it so that cars and shuttles (and people!) can't go down the road safely to get to the west side of the track.:angryfire:

4) Why do so many daily drivers and non-Mopars get to park in the Fun Field? Finding a good Fun Field parking space was hard enough on Saturday, and the extra cars and trucks that shouldn't have been there in the first place made it worse. I don't want to see your Camry or F-150 in the fun field, leave it in spectator parking where it belongs! :angryfire:

5) Several vendors told me they were informed by e-mail WEDNESDAY NIGHT that their swap meet space had changed. This made it hard for regular customers and those who has pre-ordered parts to find them. Not near enough notice!

Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now:icon_lol:

Wow, that really bites. Not a big fan of crowds anyways, but having to deal with some of those issues really keeps me from wanting to make the trip up there.

I am usually a nervous wreck because I have no idea what is going on in the parking field to my vehicle.

I'm with ya....... WAY to many golf carts this year!!!!!!!

Isn't this the same post that has been posted for the last 20 years? And you want to change what event?

Should be limited to vendors and handicap stickers! Been 3 times and almost run over every time! What ever happened to good ole exercise?

way way to many carts

the golf carts and four wheelers are one reason I did not go this year.:sad10: the only folks I saw on them in Carlisle were people who really needed them. last year at the nats I spent most of my walking time trying to evade them. what can we do to help this?
yes, I know someone will chime in "to keep my arse at home", but I wish to enjoy a few things in life.
pt in tennessee

i don't go to the nat's anymore. having it every year at national trails is like crapping in the same pot and never flushing.

Motorized carts aren't allowed at the major Goodguys shows on the West Coast anymore. Too many close calls. The truly handicapped can rent a small cart at the gate. Seems to be a policy working well.
