Hi
I live in Oregon and have had my Christine since i was 15 and she was my daily driver for 16 years until feb. thats a long sad story but she will soon be my daily driver again. don't know the rules and don't want to be flagged but she does have a facebook page you can see what she looked like after being set on fire and what she looked like as we gave her a new roof and a chop top.

Christine and I have traveled back and forth to my hometown in MI. Shes a four door but and i like it that way no pressure to get rid of her when I had my two beautiful kids who love cars just as much as i do.

She has a 318 poly work horse. upgraded her cam with her rebuild a 264 duration.
I have redone all of her wiring. just waiting on the money to get her windshield cut and put in and trying to decide what route i want to go on the back window. and buying some top mounted windshield wiper system then be able to finish her interior because we have been doing this all in our driveway. christineLaura.jpg

Nice Belvy, glad to hear its about to get back on the road. What's the story with the fire? And whereabouts in Oregon are ya? I'm down here in Grants Pass, not many Mopars around here

welcome to FBBO

I from south haven MI , Live in the burbs of Portland OR now.
I have alot of my cars story on her facebook https://www.facebook.com/HelpRebuildChristine . I believe the story starts a few weeks before the fire my neighbor came home to a guy staring at my car ( i live in a cul de sac in a corner of town no reason for strangers) I had my truck open so it could dry out a little damp and we had some sun. he acting all druged out my neighbor scares him away and he comes back and just stairs at us then ask for money and slowly stares at the other neighbors cars and finally leaves my neighbor called the cops we dont know if they ever find him.
then one night taking a shower i run out to grab a shaver out of my car from my gym back and then my roommate comes out to see what i doing. then 20 min. later my cars horn goes off and roommate runs outside to see my car with flames in the back seat and back door open not the one i was used earlier and neighbors calling 911 roommate runs in while car 911 to and tells us we jump out of bed and go out to see my first baby in flames then the firemen who had to come from another town. they put her out then after a while they go we should probably check the engine compartment but they dont know how to open it an wont even let us tell them they get a crow bar and beat the hood grill and pry on the hood and fenders and try to use bolt cutters on the lever they needed to slide over then a other fire men shows up and opens it the right way and looks at all of them. To be clear i am not mad at them they where doing there job and the only fireman who upset me was the one standing next to me most of the time who repeatedly told me my car was gone my car was toast over and over and over even when i was stepped away from him and was crying and crying about my fenders grill and hood and he comes over and tells me it doesnt matter cause my car was toast. I wish i could tell him what he did was tell me my friend was dead over and over . But don't tell a hillbilly girl you can't fix something its been a long road and still got a long way the ins wouldn't help because i drive her all the time and only had liability ins on her. cant wait to drive her all the time and hope the fireman notice my one of a kind baby back on the road.

I'm in Outer P-Land too...Troutdale actually. Not much in the way of Mopars here, either. People think my car is a Monte Carlo or, in the case of one particularly deranged dingbat, an ElCamino. I actually think "ElCamino" is the only "old car" name she knows.
Good luck finishing up the top chop. That 66 is fo sho one-of-a-kind.

Wish there were more people as passionate about their cars as you. Good luck with finishing your baby. It will better than before!

Welcome.

I remember your cardomain (I think) site.

There were "better" pics (wink).

This site is THE BEST resource for our cars.

I'm sure you will find any parts you need in short order, as well as all the advice you can handle, whether you need it or not!

BTW, folks, she's not afraid to get greasy workin' on it either.

Cheers to you!! Chicks like her ROCK!

Welcome.to the B-Body forum..nice ride.hope it all works out for ya....take care and God Bless....Bear R.-

Welcome to the board and I'm sure with your tenacity, Christine will be on the road soon. I had a similar situation with a Polara. Electrical fire under the hood. 911 was called, I got the hood open and the battery disconnected and the fire put out before they arrived. The firemen still chopped up my wiring harness and dented the fenders all to hell. Pissed isn't strong enough to say how mad I was but there was nothing I could do. By the way, you and Christine are hot.

welcome to the site hope you get her on the road soon good luck. Bob

Thanks everybody for the encouragement yes i got a lot of stuff on her cardomain site

Welcome, with your will power you'll be back up and running in no time.As far as nut balls walking around high and asking for cash that's what .45 colts are made for! I'd suggest if you don't have a carry permit get one and find a good gun that fits your style. You can't trust anybody as far as strangers go. Good luck.
