The new ones aren't accurate at all.1/4 to 1/2 tank off.

mine seems pretty good/accurate in my 68 RR with a new B-Body fuel tank, straps & larger supply S/S sending unit, I got it from Mancini Racing probably 4-5 or so years ago now... I'm not sure where or who, they get them from, but I put 5 gal. in, it goes up 1/4 tank that's pretty darn close, when it says empty I better be pulling in the garage too... there is a way to change the resistance in the sending unit, But I'm not really sure what it is, I can't remember anyway... I don't ever buy the cheapest anything for my cars thou, I'd rather pay a little more get, Made in the USA quality the 1st time & much less hassles or doing stuff over & over, spend even more money, because I wanted to save a few buck on some cheap a$$ parts, sometimes you get what you pay for.. not that any of you guys, did get a cheap part... good luck

i don't mind paying for quality, just don't want to pay a good buck for something that does not work right. i found out the hard way that i cannot fill my coronet r/t full...gas ran out the vent tubes.

Mine seems close.. but I have tweaked the arm a few times. Seems as if I have more fuel than it shows. That being said... better than less......... And yes I've had the vent tube run off myself..

so what do you guys think. try to "adjust the one i have, buy new or try to find NOS?

You guys need to get your sending units from Dixie Restoration Parts out of Georgia. They sell units that are manufacturered by the orginal OEM. They work.

Want mine?I have one from them that doesn't come up off empty till the tank is half full. The cheapo Chinese one from Vans was more accurate.
