A STATEMENT FROM STACEY DAVID:
"Hey everyone,
By now I am sure that most of you have noticed that the SPEED Channel and all of it’s automotive programming has gone the way of the dinosaurs, Dodo bird, and 8-track tape. It’s replacement is called FOX SPORTS 1, and with that Fox hopes they can compete with ESPN in covering sporting events like baseball. This was a decision that FOX made awhile back to try and cater to a larger sports market. Whether this was a wise decision on their part remains to be seen, but we wish them the best.
In the meantime, We had a GREAT 6 year run on SPEED, and we’d like to take this time to say a big THANK YOU to all the people that watched GEARZ over the years, and all the support you’ve given us. As far as GEARZ goes, we are in the middle of negotiations with several networks to not only continue GEARZ, but to also bring to life some other shows that have been knocking around in my head for a while. All very exciting stuff, with tremendous opportunities! As soon as we are able, we will make an announcement of what Network we are going to be on, and what we are going to do. In the meantime, we’ll keep you informed on the website and here on Facebook with what’s going on with various projects, and who’s dropping by."

I like that guy... He seems like he would be a cool neighbor.

I like his shows, I hope they can work out a deal... Good Luck Stacey David & the show Gearz

Could you imagine getting that guy drunk? He'd never shut up or stop laughing. I'd take him as a neighbor.

I enjoyed watching Gearz and Stacy! it was like he knew you as friend and did the show that way scripted but not really rehearsed like other shows! I hope his show returns soon!

I figure drunk he'd be blasting his guitar @ 2am all night. But yeah of all the car show hosts I like him the best.

I heard a radio interview with Stacy as the guest. He seemed just as nice as he was on GEARZ. He was down to earth and the kinda guy you would want as a neighbor.

Sorry but wasn't a big fan, but will be looking for "My Classic Car" & "Two Guys Garage" in other places if & when they show up.

I know I miss his show and all the others I have raced for a living in my past.and the speed channel was my last hope for keeping up on everything.I think they will regret getting rid of it.............Artie

I like his shows

:iamwithstupid: I didn't like his taste in design sometimes, his over the top stuff mostly, like air cleaners, headers, wild colors or wild interiors sometimes, not my style,... He was funny with out being overly cheesy, most the time, treated people with respect, is extremely talented, wide range of interests & cool builds, some really informative segments too... I really liked the shows format... Graveyard Cars could really learn something from it... He's a good guitar player, had some cool people on his show too... I'd roll with him any-day & would love to have him as my neighbor & throw back a few with him, use his shop, borrow his tools...LOL... Looken' forward to his new shows... I guess he's been producing his own stuff/shows for quite a while now, since he left the show "trucks" on Spike TV "Stacey David Productions & Rattletrap Productions" I think are the names...

Fox strikes again, they would screw up a wet dream.

I just cant beleive they gave up Speed Channel for some kids on a skate board.AlthoughThere were so many reruns ,maybe we should have seen it comming.I think they made a big mistake

---->Got to be a BIG nich for another "Speed" channel.

Sonny has been in slight depression in wake of the lost Speedchannel.
thank you, Cranky for update on the negotiations going on now.

As far a Fox goes, competition is good. We will benefit from
the extensive coverage of sports.

I believe we live in a Capitalistic society were competitive counterparts are good. :sFl_america2:

Maybe at least we have seen the last of Rich Christianson anyway. I think that's his name anyway. You know the host of Pinks. It was a decent show but it seemed they looked at Mopars the same as they did the rice burners (showed no respect)

:iamwithstupid: Yeah Rich & his brother, then later Willy & Clay all liked them, but Ken Herring & Nate & his lame brother hated them.... Rich really isn't a knowledgeable car guy he's the money & backing for the shows, he depend on the idiots/hatters like Ken & Nate {Chevy/Ford lovers, not that anything is wrong with Chevy/Fords just Ken & Nate} for their lame advice... Way too many 10.00-10.50 cars anyway "all the time" on Pinks All Out {not that there's anything wrong with a 10.00-10.50 car}, but there's way more to drag racing than that limited range of cars thou....

The only reason I personally have for cable TV is auto shows or sports. There's another channel called Velocity, but I don't get it in my area.

I liked the show the way it was. My only concern was on some of his projects he used tools that are way out of budget for an ordinary person and even some shops. But hey, in order to do certain things you need certain tools. You don't cook a steak with a torch..... But you could try.

I think he is a pretty cool dude personally. Never met him but he seems down to earth like an ordinary guy. I hope his show is back on air soon.

I liked that show better when it first came out.....run what you brung! the thing that screwed that up was all the A-holes holding up at the finish line ( sand bagging ). it was more of a grass roots thing. I'll race you with what I drove here. It's all just for BS ratings anyway. I think you should be able to buy only the programs that you want, not have to subscribe and get a bunch of home shopping channels and **** you will never watch!
