New guy from Oregon

Got the Motor and trans 440 & 727

Picked up the motor and trans on saturday the car will be here friday. 20130831_091011.jpg20130831_091018.jpg20130831_091025.jpg20130831_091034.jpgChanging the valve covers out for M/T's and painting the motor turquois, the engine has all kinds of goodies inside and so does the trans. Gonna be fun!

Awesome score! I just wrapped up the major odds and ends on my motor and sanded/polished the fins on the m/t valve covers. I like those covers a lot

That thing is one heavy dose of badass. NICE

Love the Coronet

Congrats on the net! Good to see another Oregon guy, I'm just over in Sellwood. Wildcat has a lot of the parts you need. Cool yard to just walk around in! Solid project!

Thanks kma, looks a little nicer then when I got it at least haha :icon_thumleft:

And where is Wildcat guys? Sounds like a cool place to check out

Very nice people and they will usually take stuff for credit on the parts you buy.

We just bought a place in Rogue River...sounds like its time to have a little drag race at my neighbor's air strip!

Wildcat is in Sandy, east of Portlandia on hwy 26, then south. They have directions on thier web site. I haven't ever been there, I'm still pretty new here. But I'm planning a trip one weekend soon, got a short list of things I need.

Wildcat got some awesome cars and parts worth the drive to go out and check them out if you havent

That's awesome thanks guys, don't really need much more for my Charger but sounds like it'd be worth a trip just to check it out

Ah no way, an airstrip?? Sounds like a badass afternoon and some wasted tires waiting to happen lol soon as she's back on the road I'm there!

OK the car got here on friday, Sorry no new pics yet! we kicked a$$ at the swap meet in Redmond Or. So I even get to start the project with some build cash. Not needing motor or tranny stuff just a few gaskets and filters, so I get to dive right into yanking the 318 and tranny out cleaning and getin it ready for the new and improved muscle. It already has a 8.75 rear end so I will try to find a posi 3rd member for it. But to my surprise it was in VERY good shape and was full of extra parts, always cool! Will post pics soon thanks everyone for the encouragement.

I scored bucket seats and a shifter as well!!!

You sure it doesn't have a 10 or 12-bolt rear with that posi in it?

That's me being a wise-***.

If yer coming this way (to hit up Wildcat) let me know. You'd have to go right past my place to get there. Maybe we convoy out there, help each other out when our cars break down on the way.

Not yet, I will jack it up on thursday to see... I am hoping for the best...

Sorry I was late to the party! Welcome aboard -- it seems you're very excited and rightfully so ... looks like a fun ride! Make yourself at home and enjoy. :D

Here's a couple pics of the car at my house. Very nice solid car with all the trim, grill and bumpers plus some extra trim. I wish some of the cars that I have started with were this solid. This car is going to be killer when it's done.
