This is a voltmeter conversion I did today for a friends '63 330, I've been doing these for years on foreign and domestic cars, (the Mopar ammeters are a real problem as everybody knows) I converted my Coronet to a voltmeter about 15 years ago, (after a dash fire)....but I added numbers to the face...8-16 volts and it looks factory too. This one being a counter clock wise gauge I ended up using a voltmeter out of a 944 Porsche, (we have over a hundred of these cores at work!). The bezel and lense were pretty thrashed so I ended up wet sanding and polishing the lense and since this isn't a show car I used Krylon Dull Alluminum with a clear coat on the bezel. 330 voltmeter 157.jpg330 voltmeter 158.jpg330 voltmeter 160.jpg330 voltmeter 161.jpg330 voltmeter 162.jpg330 voltmeter 163.jpg

Very nice! This is on my to do list, too.

Nice setup. Looks real good. I got an aftermarket volt meter and put it where the ashtray was as I dont smoke. Then I put a 10 gauge shunt across the amp gauge. Ron

Dodge41969: You did an outstanding job on this dash, both front and back. Obviously you take a lot of pride in your work. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you!!, I like to use the factory instrument clusters when I do conversions. On the blank to the right of the voltmeter, I've also done oil pressure gauges....or mini tachometers, with led shift lights....because the tachs are kinda small to see there.
