There were no "HP" stampings on the 67 motors, just build dates, you'll need to find your cars completed build date and find a motor with a build date of 4 days-2 weeks PRIOR to your cars build date.

Ive been looking for the "HP" 383 4bbl for my 67 Sat., good news for me though is that the 67 383 2bbl and 4bbl models were identical (same comp., same valves, same heads etc etc.) and since theres no identifier between the 2 I can use a 2bbl model and swap on a 4bbl intake and carb.
Now, I'm not positive about the 440's BUT, I think they're the same, if so, ANY 440 with the build dates mentioned above will work for you.

The 440 that came in the 67 GTX and R/T will be stamped with the (C440 HP) although the casting number is the same for both standard and the HP engines. The heads for the 440 HP will be HP 915's with a casting number of 2780 915 and will have the larger 2.08/1.74 valves compared to the standard non HP heads which have 2.08/ 1.60 valves and I am fairly sure that the HP heads are stamped with an HP and may have a maltise cross on them.
