Folks, does anybody have an idea on how to locate and weld the center console on the floor pan in a car that never had one to begin with? I am converting my 67 from a column shift to a floor shift. Thanks for your input!

1:Find the blank in the floor where the shifter linkage goes through.
2:cut the hole in the floor and make it round.

ut all of the brackets and linkage on the console for correct lineup.
4:center the linkage in the hole or even better, hook up the linkage to the trans and put everything in Park. Use a level across the top of the console left-and-right to line up the console.
5:mig (tack) the brackets to the floor.
