Does anyone know what the factory trunk dividers were made from? every one I see is a piece of plywood usually with some poorly installed speakers which is what I have. I'm putting in hew carpet and would like to go back to the factory look and ditch the plywood. ill be needing the chrome trim too if anyone has extras.

there were kind of a cardboard but not exactly cardboard more like really heavy paper like artwork poster board. the repops look pretty much like the originals to me.

I bought one from Year One and if I remember correctly, it cost as much to ship as to buy since the size requires it be shipped freight. Had the same problem with a hood pad once. Upholstery shop told me they could have gotten me the stock board pretty cheap if I had been willing to cut my own using the old one as a pattern.

Yes the 66-67 Charger dividers are plywood, not sure if its 1/2 or what. Guys have made new ones.

If you are refering to the section that folds down on a first gen, GPuller is correct - yes they were plywood. 1/2 inch.
The cardboard-like material was the trunk liner which covered the sides and corners.
That was a "different" kind of cardboard.
But yes, the fold down section is simply plywood which can be cut from 1/2 inch plywood as I have one sitting in may garage right now. The carpet is glued to it and it has the chrome edge surrounding it simply screwed on. The attatching screw holes for the hinge are simply Tee Nuts that I got a Lowes. (Pictured)

I used a sheet of masonite/hardboard that I got at Home Depot. A buddy of mine let me use his original to make a template. Cost me about $10 or so.

the factory seperators between the rear seat and trunk are made of pressboard.its about a 1/4 inch thick and can be purchased at any major lumber/hardware store.old one for a template works best, but you can figure out the shape needed easy enough.

What he said.

Oh, a quick note on the divider, The 67 has fewer screws in the hinge than 66. That would be the only difference.
