I started a few threads hoping to solve a strange electrical problem wherein sometimes my car quits at idle; or I get static from the radio if I put the turn signal or brakes on. I've been ripping my hair out trying to solve this.

Today when I was doing some detailing under the hood, I noticed that the large cable on the positive battery cable was so loose in the terminal that it fell out. So loose that the end of the copper wires were burnt when I pulled them out. I'm hoping that this was what was causing it to cut out. What say ye?

KISS.....and it's no offense to you.

I would think that would have a lot to do with your problem.
I use to do a quick test to see if the alternator was charging by removing the battery terminal while the engine was running. If it quit when removed, ment that it wasn't charging.
Clean and tighten all your connections and see if your problem happens again. Good Luck!

not sure it is the best way to check the charging system but.... when running.....if a screw driver sticks to the center back of the alternator then your charging good...if its week then your charging week...if not at all then....not at all...I know its back yard but it works.
