I run a 73 electronic Distributor in my car.... The engine is out of a 69 car....( which had a distributor with points )

The engine is a 440 HP ...4 bbl with TF 727 transmission

Now I am not sure...if the "CURVE " will be o.k. for the old fashion engine.... I searched up and down in the www
but never found a curve for those distributors...

Thank you for your help

Juergen

Changed my Distributor yesterday... the "new one " is a A1 Cardone reman. item... changed the VC also to a VC188... now the car runs great ... idle set @ 14 deg . 600 upm at 2400 upm the distributor reaches the 36 deg mark.. looks like the "rebuid one " has a good set up of springs inside.... the engine is so much more easier to rev up...

Greetings Juergen

If it's an original style distributor, you can use Mr. Gasket part # 925B lightweight springs.

You might have to shorten up the slots some.

.... The curve looks good to me ( I think ) 14deg @ idle... 18 deg@ 1000 upm 20 deg @ 1400 36 deg @ 2400 upm
the springs I have right now are one soft and one that looks a little to long.... the weight has a "free play " but when the weight reaches the spring... this spring is relativly hard...

But I will buy the Mr G set # 925 B

Thank you
Juergen
