Been searching the Craigslist adds for another mopar, somthing that doesn't necessary go fast but gets "decent" gas mileage. Found a 73 satellite and I traded a 2003 honda 400ex four wheeler and a thousand bucks for it. But after after looking at nada values i may have gave a bit too much for it.

318 seems mechanically sound, trans shifts decent, needs carpet and a few interior items but most of it thats there is in good shape besides the seat.

Im excited to do this project because i have been wanting to try and do my own paint job for awhile now

I'll toss out a number. $3,200 if it's in reliable running and driving condition but I"m no expert on 73-4 B bodies by an means.

I love IH Scouts, and that SS II is plain bitchin'.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal on the Satty. They don't command big bucks yet, but they ain't gettin' any cheaper that's fo sure. I say well played...and good luck with the paint. It's not as hard as people make it out to be. The prep is labor intensive and that's a large part of what makes a good paint job expensive and, well... GOOD.

I think you did right and it appears solid, drivers floor looks good.. If your happy with it, deal well done! Enjoy...

thanks for input guys, its not my scout my family thinks im weird enough as it is for liking mopars LOL:icon_geek:

Got the bumpers off which was a chore in its self, got a lincoln 120v mig welder coming. Might be wishful thinking but id like to have it ready for paint before the year is over. Since the interior is green im limited to painting it well... to green lol. right now im looking at dark jade

Check this Jade green out!, snakeyes left this in another thread and to me its just beautiful, the color and white stripes make it pop..

Be careful with that 73 and down F6 green int.

Only a few shades go with it (like F3, F4, F7, and F8).

Jade, lime and Sassy DO NOT. Neither does "spring special" or the new Jeep or Camaro bright greens.

My Sat has that interior. I think I'm keeping the car white, but might put on an F7 color RR stripe, and I'm switching the seats out to white.

Cool find! if theres not too much rust in the quarters gotta be in 3-3500 range. The point being is that your happy with your car, looking forward to progress pics when you can!!
I just noticed its a spring special car with that green on the pans, What color are you planning?

:icon_super: That dark green is just too cool. I wanna get another 73 just to get it in that color!!!

Ah, bet that's a JF1 pale green car.

I personally don't care for that color and the green int.

Questionable match, but they also sold yellow cars with green interiors.

..and the KG8 jade/Sherwood is a 74 and up color.

I REALLY wish they had introduced this color earlier.

They even changed the interior color to match it.
