Another great Glen-Ray radiator!

Im in the process of getting a radiator from them now, right now I have an aftermarket 26" in my car,was in there when I bought it and the china solder seam at the top is starting to leak.Tonys has one for $425.00 that needs recored, probly 6 or 7 hundred bucks for that so might as well buy a brand new one from Glen Ray and will be about the same in price

I have a mosquito net in front of mine when I drive, easy to take away if you so want, works perfect.

thanks for the tip

Glen-Ray, great guys, great work, very nice to work with. I sent them a radiator to have repaired after paying a local place to "fix it" a lot of money only to have it come back top tanks crushed and cooling elements twisted in frame. They took mine, sent me one that looked like they just made it (perfect, straight, painted and all mounting hardware)and such a great price I felt like they weren't getting paid enough (when was the last time that happened with mopar parts?). Was so appreciative i got extra business cards from them and will display them with car at shows when it is finally together. You can't go wrong with Glen-Ray. Their transmission cooler and power steering cooler is on my ""to buy list", and I will be sending them my heater core for rebuild.

How much was the work clemul?

I'm piecing together a rad. It's 22" 3 core and I just got the correct tanks in last weekend so I want the new old tanks put on to look correct.

I will join the positive comments regarding Glen-Ray. I needed a fan shroud for my 73 Road Runner with air conditioning, and it is not a common shroud. Bob had one laying around, but he said it had a crack in it and refused to sell it to me. He shipped it to me on his dime and refused to take payment for it since it was not top quality. I had NO fan shroud, so I simply riveted the crack together with a small metal plate that is hard to see, and it solved my overheating issues when using A/C in stop and go traffic.

He told me to buy him lunch sometime, so I tracked him down next year at Carlisle and did just that.

From what I can tell, Glen-Ray are the type of vendors we want to have around. Honest, knowledgeable, built in USA stuff. Next time I need any radiator work, they are getting mine. If it costs a few dollars more, at least you know you are getting first rate customer service and parts...

How much was the work clemul?

I'm piecing together a rad. It's 22" 3 core and I just got the correct tanks in last weekend so I want the new old tanks put on to look correct.

Local place charged me over $ 375 for "rebuild", they crushed the tanks because they didn't pad clamps, according to Glen-Ray they used wrong core, they twisted core in the frame so badly it wouldn't bolt in to car properly and looking in tank a sloppy solder blob was laying in and over multiple tubes straight down from installing filler cap tube, needing rodding to clear. Took it back and they lumped solder all over tank dents and said there was nothing they could do about twisted core. This was supposedly the best repair place in NJ. Called glen-ray, he seemed genuinely interested on phone, didnt rush me off, and he told me to send radiator out to him and he can fix it. Got a call from him a week later, explaining how core was wrong for radiator and everything else that was wrong. He said he had the correct numbered radiator for my car that a customer never came back for and I could just switch mine for it and a very nominal amount (about what a repro shroud costs). Even with shipping and a little something to buy the shop lunch with, the cost was less than half of what i paid the local guy. I had to bully him over the phone when he was taking debit card info just to take the extra money to buy the shop lunch with.. Call him for a quote, his work is impeccable. The radiator he sent me was perfect in every way. Square and true in frame, perfect paint (not the sloppy water based temporary "paint" the local shop dripped/used on their rebuilds), all mounting hardware, looks just like the radiator at top of page. they specialize in mopars so your radiator should be no problem. I wish I would have gone to them first...1st class all the way...

They do heater cores too, I have got many radiators from them and never had a issue with them yet. The last one I sent to them was a 053 out of my 69 RR, he sent it back to me before he asked to be paid. Just a note inside telling me how much to pay if I was happy with it.

Thanks Clemul. I'm glad you had a positive out come and I'll definitely give him a call

Great, now Bob's head will big swelled up bigger than ever, lol. We are next to each other at the Nats and now will have to get another spot for Bob's head.
Oh and yep, the best Mopar rads on the plant.

WOW

hsorman - and you followed through and bought him lunch . . . now that's a great customer ( and a good man of his word ) ! ! ! !

I would like to think you can still do business with a word and a handshake. I gave him my word, and to me, that is a bond. I have to admit it wasn't too hard to find him as he is in the same spot every year...

Unfortunately he was crazy busy, so I wasn't able to pull him away and sit down and eat lunch with him. I ended up handing him $20 for his lunch. He was amused that I came back next year to make good on my pledge though...

AGREED - 100% . . . I with you on that.

Looks great, GlenRay is the best. Card board panels cut to fit front and back will keep her looking good during install...

Yes, their work is phenominal!!!!! My Glen Ray sure is keeping my car way cool as it's idling in the garage getting the Six Pack tuned.

Glen-Ray is the best. Also, be sure to save the box & packing material for when you need to send the radiator for your next project to them.

Glen-Ray are good guys. I called asking about the 054 radiators and they had some used original tanks they picked up at a swap meet, and they said were not perfect, but they could build me a max cooling radiator for a bit less than the reproduction radiators. When I got the radiator, it looked great to me. I could not see anything wrong with the tanks, and it cools the 505" stroker just fine.

Bob did the Rad in my 62, all I can say is AWESOME. Sent the Rad to me without payment and said to send him the money only if I was happy. THE ONLY PLACE ON EARTH TO BUY A MOPAR RAD. Thank you Glen-Ray!

One other thing they also do all radiators in 3 core unless you specifically ask for 2 core, which was a nice surprise!
