Stud rod bushing... need help

Hello Guys..

I am changing out my frontend bushings and tierods...

The question : I bought Moog stud rod bushings.. do I need to "reuse" the Big Washer that sits between the two halfs of the bushing ? From the front view ...there is the nut first, the a big washer... next comes a Bushing half... Crossmember from "behind " there is a washer a big one.. then the next bushing half.
But with the MOOG Bushings the Washer behind the crossmember doesn´t fit... ??

Any ideas ... or can I just leave the washer away...

Here's the order.....nut, big washer, bushing, sleeve on the strut rod, bushing, big washer.
 
Yeah what he said

You don't put a washer between the two half bushing. The big washers only go on the ends of the bushings.

Here are some pic from my todays work.... incl. the Studrod bushings.. the "old ones were made of Urethane...perhaps that was the reason for the 3rd washer ?
The first Foto shows the "new set-up " with the MOOG rubber bushings... the second Foto shows the "old " set-up with the urethane bushings and the "misterious washer "

But now I have a new " Problem"... looks like one of the Strut Rods is bent... on the end where the bushings are, the rod looks like a " Z Curve "... I think I have to look for new ones ( unfortunatly difficult to find here in Germany )

If you can't straighten it then look at either P-S-T or Firm Feel as they have them.
 
Today I straighten the strut rods.. works well now... so the only parts I am waiting for are the Dust boots. When they arrive I will put the 0.96 Torsion bars back in.

BTW is it a good idea to set the Camber to 0 deg ? Toe in aprox. 1/8 " ...

... today I finished the front suspension workshop

But there is one stange issue.... the bolts that raises /lowers the pressure on the Torsion Bars have different numbers of turns...
or in other words.. the diffference are 5 turns !! Is that normal ? I installed the bars like this... the LCA showed downwards.... the bolts that attach the lever were fully turned down ( also the levers were all in the LCA...the Torsion Bars went in smooth... but on the driverside ...it looks like the Torsion bar is " softer "...the bars are new btw. 0.96 from Mopar Performance (Made in Canada )
Should I remove the drivers side bar again ???

do you know any one in commercial truck inspection as they should have portable scales to weight each wheel as it could be a rear spring
a car is normally heavier on the pass side to off set the driver
or you have a bad bar and this info will help you figure it out
 
...I know that the engine sits a little Offset to the pass side... but the funny thing is , that the "old T-Bars" set in the same way... drivers side pretension bolt was about 1 inch more inside than the pass side ( and the pass side is the heavier one...as you said )
I was thinking, that probably the HEX Insert has to be turned 60 deg ... but there is no room for turning the LCA more downwards...

..just came back from my garage... and I agree with you Beastly Birdie. Because there is no way to change the angle between the rear crossmember and the LCA . So I have to live with that little imperfection. But the new TB ´s are tons better than the old 0.88 bars..
while braking..the front of the car nearly doesn´t "sink" . JUst STOPS ! Love it !
