I am ready to install my upper control arms in my 69 RoadRunner. The car has fresh paint, and the UCAs have been blasted ant painted with new bushings and ball joints. Any tips on how to install without scratching the car or the control arms?? It was tight getting them out when I disassembled and I'm guessing it will be tight getting things back together. Any help is much appreciated!

Tape and rags (pads) will be your friend just think of removal after in place

The tape and rags are a good idea. Use a plastic mallet to install and good luck. I couldn't do it without scratching. The UCA's didn't get scratched, but the brackets they install into did.

I got them in without a scratch! Painter's tape, rags, deadblow hammer, and greased everything up so they would slide in easy. It was a piece of cake!

Some times it is just patients and pre thought good to hear it when well
