I have for sale a Chrylser starter the date code on the wheel looks like a June date of 69 the canister has the 9 on the end but can not read the other two numbers before the 9. I know these things sell high if you can find one. So if you are looking for a 69 starter here it is 250.00 or best offer.

guess I'd better check the 10 starters out in Dad's garage! But of course they will all be auto zone repops. congrats plowman

After reading this thread, I had to go dig out a couple of starters I had laying around. Exactly what #'s do I need and where are they to make mine a $250. part?

They become a $250 part when someone who is rebuilding a car to factory with all date coded parts needs one. I have seen nos 69 starter go for $400.

When I found the starter I needed I paid 500 but it was already restored

The date code on the field can has to be right with the date code on the starter itself
