Greetings!
Been out of the MoPar fold for 30 odd years. Picked up a 1966 Belvedere II a few months ago with the thought of flipping a few to get the dough together and get a 2 door 1968 Coronet. Managed to get out of the Belvedere with a few bucks in my pocket, and had me eye on a 4 door 1967 Coronet back east. That deal fell through, and while ferociously searching for a good car, stumbled on this:

1.JPG2.jpg3.JPG4.JPG5.JPG

It was on eBay and Craigslist, and I managed to get in touch with seller before the auction ended. Made him an offer close to what it was at on eBay with 24 hours left. He went up a grand to his price on Craig's (5K), then said lets meet in the middle, and as I was about to reach out and say sold, he went down to 4250.00. As I was paying him in hundreds, asked if he had change, and he said just give me 4200.00
So it was towed home, as it had been in storage for 15 years.

Think it's an pretty good find, NO rust, original (albeit tired) paint and ZERO dents. All original, other than a same year 383 intake, 4bbl carb and speakers in the rear fold down. Nice unmolested car.

Replaced the windshield and put in a new gas tank. Gone over the brakes and changed/flushed all the fluids. It was running on 5.5 cylinders, so am putting on a set of 383 heads until I get the 361's rebuilt.

Not the car I was originally looking for, but Ive had a 1968 and a 1969 Charger, so do dig them. It's essentially a fastback Coronet with a badass interior!

It had been in the same family for the past 39 years, being passed down to an 18 year old son after dad had it for 9 years.
Doing the math, same thing could be done with my family....

Oh you'll love it. Once you get everything working, the EL dash, the headlamps what a fun car to drive.
My 67 is my pride and joy along with my 73.
Red on red, not many of those either. Good for you.
You need help, hollar (you will).
Welcome.

yea..if ya need help with the rotating headlights, the dash lighting, or anything else, drop me a line...I got new relays, another member here does the dash repair, and another does the headlight motors. If you plan on tackling any of the electrical yourself, I would invest in purchasing a service manual for this car. It will have all the diagrams & info you will need

361 heads & 383 heads were the same in 66 engines

nice find, the 66-67 have the coolest interiors. Looks like an easy builder. good luck on it.

That was a good deal on a great car... I'm going to be keeping my eye out for a deal like that when my current project is done... Enjoy..

They ARE still out there....

The 383 heads are from a 70 Challenger, and they are open chamber, so I may actually be losing compression, but the larger exhaust valve (1.74 vs 1.60) may give me a few back....

Awesome '67, is that your baby?

snakeyes has the ultimate library of B-body car pics lol. Ask about any color combo or option, and I will bet he can give a picture of it.
And welcome to the site by the way, you will like it here - a lot of decent people. Saw your other post about cars from the past. You are not the only one who wishes they had a couple of their old rides.

Yep, right off the 78 as well. Love for you to drive that '70 bee down. We'll trade white nuckle riders in our respective rides....

Already liking it here. Checked out a few other forums, but so far this seems to be the right place....

That looks like a solid piece of iron and for the right price. The dash lights can be very expensive if they don't work. I have had the headlight motors apart and they are not too hard to work on.

Man thats a sweet buy, id go far as to say the body looks more straight then mine! Doesnt look like it will take much to clean it up and make a nice car

Welcome from a fellow 1st gen owner! Looks like an excellent start, no rust or dents, wonder what that would be like. ha ha ha Up here in "rust belt" you don't find them like yours.
Yes dash lights and headlamps can cause some problems but if you like tinkering you can figure out most problems.
Go here and download your wiring diagrams.
