Car shows in California in April / May 2014? Spring Fling?

Hey All,

Looks like our family will be in LA about Mid April and in SF around late April / Early May and I love to go check out a good car show or two while we're there. Does anyone know of any around then?

When is Spring Fling? I saw on an 'LA car show website' it was April 19-20, but I can't find a website or anything to get any more details?

Spring Fling is the First weekend in April...4-5th? Mopars at the Strip in Las Vegas is the following weekend. Don't know of any thing in late April in the Bay Area

The Mopar club that hosts the Spring Fling in Van Nuys CA is known as the Chrysler Performance West.
In 2012 you had a fellow countryman come to Los Angeles for the LA show. His name was Glen. He rode with several people for the various festivities that accompant the Spring Fling weekend show. Darius was one such "chauffeur".

Thanks guys, The dates aren't confirmed yet but atm it looks like we'll be in LA around the 16th - 21st April, So no spring for me unfortunately, and in SF around 27th April - 2nd March. We're still trying to lock things in but yeah that's the rough plan.

I'm generally just into older cars, From hot rods, rat rod, sleds, finns, gassers, Muscle and pony cars. Really, almost anything pre late 70's from most brands rates. But my partner is more into the earlier full bodies, very late 40's to very early 60's. Most of the time I think it's just cos she like dressing up! Our 3yo is into anything old and 'pretty cool'!

Any suggestions around those would be great.

The Fling and the MATS are great shows. Must dos.
There is also the Long Beach and Pomona swap meets.

Just realised that Viva is on the weekend of the 20th. Which will be perfect, we'll road trip over and back on the Saturday.

Is there much of a Mopar presence at Viva?

Don't expect much.....the show is for pre-1963 cars, no Chargers, Road Runners, Cudas, etc. There will be Mopars though, just no muscle car era ones.
