It's crazy how much they ask . A $1900 starting bid seems outrageous. This is why I'm more than 8 hours into reshaping my front fenders by hand. Hammer + dolly= money for more parts.

That's the same seller with the insanely high price for a 1970 GTX trunk lid ($850). Not at all realistic.

well in these days when you cant find oem and nos ,parts or if you don't want to spend that kind of money you are face with buying used parts and used parts are priced at what they have them marked at ,then haggle the price, there is always company's that have replacement parts have you checked them out or have checked any of the builds going on here and checked out what they have used as far as after market

You have me a little confused, Snakeyes. I'm definitely of the school that believes in saving every possible inch of metal on my ride. Of course, there are always parts that can't be saved. It seems like there have been cheaper fenders on this site, and on Craigslist, so the $950/ea starting bid seemed a bit much. As I understand (and my dad reminds me all of the time) the Restorer's Choice parts that Classic sells for $699 are high quality and MOPAR licensed. On my budget, I would probably save the cash and go with the aftermarket fenders over spending an extra $500 - $800 for original satellite fenders. So with all of that said, I guess my shock in that eBay listing is that used fenders that needed work were listed significantly higher than what aftermarket fenders cost. It seems to me that such a mark up should only be on rare parts that aren't still in production.

its there right to ask what ever they want for there parts you don't have to buy there parts , mopar parts are harder to come by compared to the other brands

You are, of course, completely correct. Yes, they have the right to ask whatever price they want. And we have the right to comment when a price is way above normal (for links that aren't to this board). While I personally wouldn't pay someone far more for a part than it normally fetches, if they have high hopes for a windfall sale then I wish them luck.

the day of $50.00 fenders are gone dried up **** is getting harder to find a nice piece of sheet metal just isn't easy to come by , it takes patience's and digging for them you ought to no that being from Canada shits getting harder to find ,have a good one :headbang:

I just saw one on Craigslist Charlotte for $75. That eBay listing ended unsold. The market spoke. The prices I've seen from guys on these boards have been very fair. That's where I'm placing the baseline for my opinion. It doesn't seem like guys here are charging prices like that. Cudajunction just sold me a lower grill valence, shipping included for $170. And that's for a part that is not being re-stamped. No one wants to screw a brother, when we all know the favor may return. I care enough about the guys on here, and what we're doing for MOPARs, to point out when I think someone is asking too much on eBay or another external site. Not trying to stomp on anyone's rights or opinions.

Just an FYI - I live in Charlotte ( close by ) and I could check them out - get you more pictures, if you need more details on the fenders . . . shoot me a PM.

Always willing to help a fellow FBBO member out.

they dont make reproduction fenders or a deck lid for 70 rr/gtx/sat and this guy knows it. i paid a huge amount for my front fenders, but at least mine were 100% rust free. its real hard to find a good set of fenders and deck lid.
