Well I said I would start a new thread and post a few pictures of my new project so here she is. Its a 1968 426 hemi automatic on the column super bee. It is one of those things that I never thought I would ever have. I still can not believe that I do have the car in my shop. It's a real deal J code car non matching engine or trans ,but does still have the fender tag. The engine is a 69 model. The cars is a pretty good looking car, but not perfect. My guess is it been done about 20+ years. Originally it was QQ1 blue but was repainted white with black interior. Just going to try to tinker on the car and change a few things to make it mine for a while. I have always been a 69 Bee fan, but I really like this 68.LOL

"Beautiful" and it's got a HEMI. Very nice

Very nice, now your at the very top and the next purchase is backwards. Love that Hemi

:icon_thumright:

That is super bada$$!!!!

If you find her replaced by a Red 66 Charger, you can blame me.

Thanks guys I really appreciate that. Now if I can just learn to work on the thing. It is like starting over again for me since I am used to working and tuning on wedge motors. The car has set for several years and will probably need the carbs worked on some. I put a set of plugs in tonight. To be honest it is a little intimidating to tune on for me.

It's just the legendary elephant, what's to worry? ;-)
You'll get the hang of it in no time, no doubt....

Since we're all being honest here, I'm green with envy. A '68 Coronet was what I was looking for when I stumbled on the '66 Charger. Just had no luck finding a clean one in my $ range.

Like you said in the OP, I never imagine I'll have a '68 Hemi Bee either, so perhaps the IS hope....

I know the term gets used a lot, but that is a true dream car for me as well....

Mind if I ask what you paid for it?

Great looking car - but I have to admit you have gotten me a little jealous :notworthy:.

A rare beast indeed. They didn't make that many 68 super bees. With a hemi? You found a needle in a haystack.

Ya know, I like those blue steelies against the white body. Looks sharp.

Freakin' awesome car, congratulations!
